(Fionia's outfit)
Sorry that I haven't been posting lately. My work has been calling me in almost every day last month and I barley had time to write.
Here's this extra long chap that I hope makes up for it!
Enjoy!

These past couple of months have been insane. First school started in August, then I got kidnapped literally three weeks into the new school year, get back home in November, get grounded that same month and now here we are. December. The school year is put to a halt for the holidays and I couldn't be any happier; but today is a very special day. It's Christmas! Well, Christmas Eve to be exact but tonight will be the night to remember. My favourite event of the year. The Annual Banquet.

Once a year, all the mafia's in each province get together on Christmas Eve and celebrate until the sun comes up on Christmas Day. Since each province has their own banquet, this year Montreal is hosting the annual province party for our province. Last year, Quebec City held the party and man, it was boring as hell. Only thing we did was cause a disaster.

Bonus part about this event is that you dress up, look your best and appreciate the only two days a year where you can't kill each other. This banquet is a very big deal and this is also an opportunity to resolve feuds, conflicts, and business deals.

"Fionia! Can you come downstairs please!" Dad shouts in the intercom that rings throughout my room.

Running towards the intercom that's placed into my wall besides my door, I buss it. "Yeah dad. Let me finish up this math homework then I'll be right down." Bouncing back to my desk, I flip open the next chapter in my math book. I still don't know what we're learning. I think it's Pre-Com, while my friends think it Pre-Cal. I'm almost positive we're thinking about the same thing just different ways of saying it and neither of us are going to back down saying that they were wrong. If that makes any sense at all.

"It'll only take a second." Dad says as I sigh and nod my head. Looking down at the new chapter, my eyes begin to hurt at all the numbers I'm seeing. Yeah nope. I can't believe my teachers gave us homework while they could sit on their asses doing nothing.

Rolling my eyes at my stupid math problems, I scurry out of my room and down the stairs. Passing fellow members I give them a short nod before busting into the kitchen doors where I find Paul and dad talking as they look down at his phone.

Dad's sitting on the same barstool Luci was the other day. "Yo." I say plopping down besides him. "What's up?" Dad says nothing as he and Paul share a look before dad hands me his cellphone.

Snatching it, I look at the screen carefully and realize it's an email from the organizers of the banquet.

We are here to inform you that the Black Widows Mafia has accepted our request on coming to the banquet this year. We did not send this email to everyone, only to the Blood Hounds Mafia as there has been a recent incident that happened with the leader's daughter. We are here to inform you that we will be placing them as far away from you and your mafia as possible. Specifically for your daughter's safety as this is the first time in years their mafia has accepted this invite. Be safe. Please email us back if there's a problem. Thank you.

"They never come to the banquets." I state the obvious as I hand dad his phone back and trying to keep a straight face. I could feel a smile trying to escape but I play it cool. I knew he would come!

"I know," He grabs his phone placing it on the counter top. "I just have this feeling—They're obviously planning something. They wouldn't just say yes last minute."
