Damon's POV.
     I am sitting on the side of my bed looking at the bathroom door patiently waiting for bonnie to come out of that damn bathroom and tell me results , If she is pregnant or it is just normal fever. I was becoming excited but slightly worried at the same time, if it turned out that she wasn't pregnant, I was concerned that she could be coming down with an illness of some sort. But if she is really pregnant I'd be glad for that. I am going to be a dad.
    The sound of the bathroom door opening cut off my train of thoughts. Bonnie stepped out, closed the door slowly behind her and headed towards me with an unreadable expression on her face.
    I rose up from my sitting position on the bed.
'Well?'I asked her.
   Her face suddenly broke into a wide smile 'It's positive' she announced, handing the test kit to me.
              'I'm pregnant, Damon! '
  My heart jumped to my throat. I grabbed her in excitement and hugged her close. 'We're having a baby!' I said happily 'You have no idea how happy this makes me'.
    Bonnie pulled back to stare up at me ' Damon' 
   I stopped her with a kiss. She seemed surprised at the suddenness of the kiss but leaned in after few seconds. I kissed her again and again, then hugged her one last time.
     'We're going to be parents, Damon' Bonnie finally said after a few seconds of silence.
    I brushed down her hair with my hand and kiss her again.
   Just then the phone in my pocket rang. We groaned at the same time about our moment being ruined. I let go of Bonnie then pulled my phone out of my pocket.
    'It's an unknown number' I told Bonnie.
    'Answer it' she replied ' It could be important'.
   I glanced at the number suspiciously, before sighing and pressing the answer button.
   'Hello?' I said into the phone.
'Damon?' the voice sounded feminine and very familiar but I just couldn't figure out the voice.
   'Yes, sorry who is this?' I asked
'Damon, hey, it's me Lexie'.
    'Shut up, Lexie?' I gasped at the name. Bonnie mouthed 'Who is it?' to me and I mouthed back  'I'll tell you later' and sent her a 'sorry, I have to take this' smile.
    Bonnie nodded in understanding and quietly left the room.
   'Goodness Lexie, It's been like forever since I heard from you last. How have you been?' I continued.
    'I've been good' she replied 'Sorry,I haven't been in touch for a while, my work as a detective never really let me have that kind of time to visit you guys. How's everyone doing?'
    'Everyone here is fine. We've missed you, you know'.
    'Yeah, I missed you all as well' she answered 'And that's why I called. My husband is a doctor and he got transferred from his hospital from Texas to New York. When that happened, I also applied for a transfer to New York and I got it'.
    'Really? That's amazing news'..
  'Isn't it?' she said with delight.
'So when are you coming to New York?' I asked
'Oh, we are on our way right now' she continued 'we are to arrive in a few hours maybe five, we are actuality about to board the plane to New York'.
                      'Wow. So soon?'
   'Yup, I had to call you so that you could come over and pick us up when we arrive, If you don't mind?'
'Of course not, you are my cousin and I can't see you wait for taxi when you have your big old brother here' I said with a laugh. I could also hear her laugh too. It took her a few seconds to take control again.
  'Thanks Damon. And oh, don't tell anyone we are on our way over. I.. We want it to be a surprise, okay? '
  'Sure,' I responded 'But I will have to tell my wife about you guys'.
   'Your wife?' she asked incredulously 'I didn't know that you were married'
   'We have a lot to catch up on  Lex. I'll introduce you to her when you arrive'
   'Alright. Thanks so much for everything, Damon'.
   'Nah, it's alright. I'll see you soon'
         'Kay, bye'.
    I hung up and headed downstairs to the living room to meet Bonnie.
    'Hey, you done with your call?' she asked when she saw me coming. She was lying down on the couch watching 'Mamma Mia' on the TV when I came by.
  , 'Yeah' I Leaned over her and kissed her gently on her lips.
'It was my cousin, Lexie. She said she is coming into New York with her family and she wanted me to pick her up from the airport'.
   'Oh' she said 'You never told me about her'
  'I am sorry about that. We haven't been in touch ever since my parents died. Like years'
   'Oh, I am sorry. Its just that you or  Stefan never talked  about any of your other family members' she replied simply.
  'It's okay, it's just that we didn't want to bring up old memories' I told her lightly rubbing her shoulder.
  'Okay. So How is she?, Is she married'
'She is alright and yes she is married, she even has a son.... Dexter'.
   ' really?, that's nice. When do they arrive'.
  'In a few hours, I'll introduce you to them when they arrive. You are going to love Lexie, she is the best'
  Bonnie sighed 'I sure hope so'.
I suddenly became concerned, she looked tired and pale. 'Are you still feeling sick?'.
    She nodded 'A little'
  I placed a hand on her forehead, she felt a little warm 'You want me to get you something'
   'Nah, I'm fine. I don't want to eat anything or I might throw it up'.
  'I know, but you do know that you need to eat something for the baby's sake'
   She sighed in defeat. 'okay, maybe just a sandwich'.
' You got it. I'll right back' I kissed her on her forehead and went to the kitchen to make her sandwich. She ate it slowly and after some minutes, she jumped up and raced to the bathroom.
    I watched her leave up everything she had eaten. 'Hey, it's okay' I told her tenderly 'You are going to be fine'.
    She raised her head up slightly and smiled weakly at me 'I know I will'.
