AAAAAAAAAAAAAHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHH
-deep breath-
AAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHH-HHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHH
okayAHH
I'm done now.
BUT CAN WE -TALK- ABOUT GSA FOR A MINUTE
yes. Yes we can. Because this is a whole chapter dedicated to it, following a chapter dedicated to it, and -honesty- probably proceeding a chapter about it as well since we have another meeting next week.
I. Have. Never. Felt. So. Loved. In. My. Life. Nor have I ever felt so gay. I was surrounded by bundles of sticks (haha no one gets my jokes... I was surrounded by gays. Comment if you understand my joke, I love you) and allies. The two amazing students who run the club, (Corn Tortilla (it's a weird nickname, don't ask me) and Garret are amazing. Corn Tortilla is a bi girl, and Garret is a gay guy) explained what we would be doing all year, introduced our teacher sponsor (Mr. Strait is his name lol). Then we went around the room and introduced ourselves, our sexuality, pronouns, gender, or if we didn't want to come out or didn't know yet, we could just say something about ourselves. It was like a super gay first day of school. When it was my turn, I said my name, and that I'm panromantic asexual and I got a huge applause (we clapped after everyone. So accepting <3). Maybe it was the same amount everyone else got, but I was the only person who said they were ace, so maybe that got a positive reaction because we love diversity? Or maybe it was just my brain being proud of me for actually saying my full sexuality to someone irl. But I was so happy.
Then we discussed ideas for future meetings. We had
1) gay movie night at someone's house (probably this kid named matts house. Shout out to him cause he's trans, and I had no fucking clue until he said it. He passes so well. I've talked to him a lot in orchestra and I knew he was gay but that's it. Also he's getting his name legally changed soon and getting top surgery in January)
2) game night
3) clothing drive for trans kids
4) bake sale for LGBT+ charities (our charity ideas are Trevor Project and Highest Hopes foundation. Comment if you know other ones)
I think that was it.
It was a 45 minute meeting- but definitely the best day I've had in a long time. I ended up telling my parents I was just going to check out some clubs with Kai and they were fine with that. Also sorry I didn't post this when I said I would. I've been super tired and I haven't had the time or energy to do it. Thank you for reading if you read this and please know I love you very very much.
