Hey guys! Before I start I want to apologize so much for not updating since Summer! That's insane, it's just that I'm a junior this year (in high school) and everything's so stressful from ROTC and all the AP classes I decided to put myself in :o
So I've been super busy trying to keep up with school and homework. I literally have like no time to update but I'll try super hard for you guys and yeah(thumbs up, vote, and comment) Thanks so much :*Chapter 7: Celeste
Jake and I hung out everyday for the whole week after the day at the lake. He came over to my house everyday and we hung out in my room with the door open all day, my parents really liked him considering he had dinner here every night and Steven always bothered us, as expected but I think he was warming up to Jake.
Today was Friday and we were hanging out in my backyard. We were going to go out to a movie and go to the park tonight. I was sitting in the grass next to Jake and he had an arm wrapped around me and I leaned into him, "I have to hang with the guys tomorrow and my parents are forcing me to go out of town with them for a week to go see my grandparents...so I can see you again on Monday when I get back." He said looking at me with his beautiful eyes, we had gotten so close this past week and it had been so fun hanging out with him.
"I think I'm going to hang out with my girls then." I said making him smile. "Good." He said yawning, "I'm so tired. My sister made me help her with her work last night." He said rubbing his eyes and I watched him as he closed his eyes for a few seconds before opening them again. "You should get some rest." I said as he started slumping over.
"Mmm? I should but I want to spend every second I can with you." He whispered as he rested his head on my shoulder. "You will." I said and he opened his eyes slowly. "Lay down." I whispered and he fell back onto the blanket we had been sitting on. He watched me as I lay down beside him, he had his eyes still on mine before he pulled me closer to him and closed his eyes.
I wrapped an arm around his hip and he smiled a small smile. "I'll sleep right next to you so then we'll be together." I said and he gave me a hint of a smile with closed eyes and I cuddled up into him before closing my own eyes. I didn't fall asleep but Jake did. He was lightly snoring against my shoulder, his warm arms were around me gently and his gentle breath's brushed against my lips. I kept my eyes closed for a while and slightly drifted off to sleep.
"Celeste..." I heard a voice awaken me from my sleep, my eyes fluttered open to see the sky getting redish oragne, it was almost sunset. "We slept for a long time but we should head out if we want to make it to the movie before dark." He said gently caressing my face with his smooth but course fingers. I nodded before stretching out and getting up, Jake stood up and fixed his shirt and I fixed my shirt too. "I just have to go to the bathroom really quickly." I said as we walked inside, "Okay...I'll go wait in the truck." He said tucking his hands into both of his jean pockets. He slumped towards the front door and was out of sight before I had gotten to the bathroom.
I went in and brushed my hair, teeth, and put on some lip balm before I ran up to my room and changed my wrinkled shirt out for a nice long sleeved light blue shirt which matched my white shorts from earlier. I ran downstairs, grabbed my bag, and then headed outside and into Jake's car. "Thanks for letting me sleep...I feel so energized right now." He said running his fingers through his gorgeous brown hair. "Ready?" He asked glancing over at me with his gleaming eyes. I nodded and he pulled out of the driveway and we headed to our downtown area which had all the best shops, restaurants, and movie theaters.
He turned on the radio and the song that was playing was "Cold-Hearted" by Jack and Jack. "I love Jack Gilinsky! I'm going to marry him." I said making Jake look at me with serious eyes and a slight frown. "Chill bro it's never gonna happen, he's famous and I'm just ordinary me." I said making him shake his head, "Trust me, you are far from ordinary Celeste." He said making me smile and a fluttery feeling came into my chest. "I mean it...You are so different from every girl i've ever met." He said reaching over with his free hand and squeezing my hand in his gently but firmly. I felt a smile play at my lips as I squeezed his hand back.
