6 | My reflection in the mirror
After hours of annoyed sighing, desperate hair pulling and aggressively crossing out names we are finally done.
In the procedure Taehyung and I only talk when really necessary. And as long as I don't have to look him in the eye, I can live with that. Somehow.
Ha Yoon stretches her body and takes a look at her arm clock. "It is 6pm already. Are you sure you want to leave during commuter traffic?", she asks Taehyung who is about to put on his shoes.
"Damn it, I forgot about that", Taehyung replies, grimacing. After a second he turns his head to my older sister, wearing a pleading expression on his face. "I really don't want to get stuck in traffic. Would you mind if I stay a little longer?"
Ha Yoon shrugs. "No, I mean, that is what I was implying."
My sister must really hate me.
When Taehyung sits back down on the sofa, Ha Yoon stands up enthusiastically. "Let's watch a movie or something", she says, searching through the cupboards.
As everyone is agreeing on doing so, Ha Yoon pulls out a dark DVD cover out of the shelf and clicks her tongue winningly.
Yoongi is the first one to recognize the couple on the cover. "Oh, for the love of god", he moans and buries his face in his hands before he continues,"I am begging you babe, please have mercy and spare us."
Confused with the situation, I consider the DVD more carefully. "Twilight - New Moon", I read out loud. Then realization hits me, making me slap my palm on my forehead. "Oh hell no."
We all start to protest and try to convince Ha Yoon to choose something else, only with a slightly better plot, but in the end it doesn't matter.
Because Ha Yoon always gets what she wants.
Therefore, we are sitting in the living room and are watching Twilight as if it's the greatest movie ever published five minutes later.
"I love this movie", Ha Yoon states.
Nobody replies.
We watch Kristen Stewart's expressionless acting and Robert Pattinson's sparkling skin with moderate enthusiasm, but at least we persevere until the end without throwing a shoe at the TV to make this disaster of a movie stop.
After what felt like days, the end credits are finally appearing on screen. Yoongi sighs relieved, "Woah. That was... something."
Still being a bit dizzy from the movie, we all sit on the sofa in silence for a few minutes.
"Edward is a dumb bitch", Taehyung exclaims out of the blue.
Yoongi, Ha Yoon and I turn our heads towards him in confusion, waiting for Taehyung to continue and justify his assertion.
"I mean, if he really loved Bella, he would've never left her and all of this shit wouldn't have happened. They could have literally just spared us the whole movie", Taehyung explains while awkwardly shifting his hand.
From the corner of my eye I can see Yoongi raising an eyebrow, probably wondering why the plot of Twilight affects his best friend so much.
"You are aware about the fact that he left Bella to protect her? Staying with Edward would have put Bella in constant danger", I reply, somehow offended.
Taehyung laughs ironically. "And? She obviously accepted the danger if it meant to be with Edward. Even if staying with him wouldn't be the right decision, Bella should at least get the opportunity to make it."
