12 | My hormonal crisis
Taehyung.
His blow causes Dong Suk to totter and makes him dizzy, which grants Taehyung the optimal opportunity to snap Dong Suk's wrist and twist his muscular arm behind his back.
Although he may be physically stronger than his opponent, Dong Suk gets no opportunity to fight back because Taehyung has the help of the surprise effect on his side.
"He is all yours", Taehyung states with a smirk, offering me to knock out the tall guy he is holding back.
"Thank you very much", I reply, granting him a sassy smile. Then I strike out my leg and ram my heel into Dong Suk's balls as hard as possible.
"Fucking asshole, I hope you turn sterile from this", I curse him out, contemptuously eyeing Dong Suk as he moans out of pain.
Through the ache in his genitalia, he also instantly loses his balance and stumbles to the ground when I nudge him severely. It is humiliating, but every sane person on this planet would agree with me on this; Dong Suk deserves it.
Meanwhile Taehyung calls the security which appears after a short wait and throws out Dong Suk without making a big scene. We urged that his expulsion shouldn't draw the attention from Yemi's party. The poor woman deserves a drama-free birthday.
When we two are left alone, Taehyung tries to read my expression to find out what I am thinking. He stares at me so intensely that by the time he is ready he has memorized every detail of my face. I am sure he is able to read the angst in my countenance. Normally that would have triggered my nervousness, but right now other worries definitely plague me more.
"Do you need anything?", he asks me with concerned voice.
I shake my head and look to my feet, avoiding his gaze. As I play with the ring on my index finger, my lips trembles. Honestly, I don't want Taehyung to see me being all vulnerable. "Mh, I can't-", my voice cracks halfway through the sentence.
Before it was the anger which gave me the power to stay steadfast but right now, my weak knees are about to give in.
I feel so helpless.
Taehyung notices my laboriousness and comes a step closer but refrains from touching me, "Hey. Take a deep breath and try to relax."
I nod with pouted lips and do as he said. After following his instructions for a few seconds, I begin again, "I can't. I can't stay here."
"Yeah. I get that", Taehyung replies with an assuring nod, turning himself to the club exit. I eye him with furrowed brows, not sure what the tall guy is about to do.
When he notices that I don't follow him, Taehyung abruptly stops and lets our gazes meet, "What are you waiting for? Let's get out of this place."
Hearing those words I can't stop myself from smiling widely and follow him out of the club like an excited little girl. Even though there is still so much unresolved between us, nothing of it matters right now. We are just two desolate souls needing some distraction from reality.
When we walk down with the silver-sequin stairs guiding us outside, I have to take big steps. It is hard to keep up with Taehyung, "Where are we going?"
Out of nowhere as if he remembered something important, Taehyung stops, resulting in me almost bumping into him. He nervously runs one hand through his hair, "I am not sure, honestly."
"Me neither", I reply.
We stand in silence, tensely contemplating for a few seconds. Somehow none of the many possible options in the city feels like the right thing to do.
