"Ah, I'm taking too much time!" I screamed out of frustration. I took one last glance to the left before I made my decision.
I decided to go right, explore a piece of the world that I hadn't seen yet. The houses on the left hadn't looked promising and I knew if no one answered the door I would be royally fucked.
Not that I won't be royally fucked when I go right and there simply won't be anything there.
I stepped on my bike and started paddling away, luckily the roads were somewhat salted, so it wasn't too slippery to ride on.
Each time I would see headlights of a car in the distance, shining through the fog, I would jump off my bike and hide myself in the ditch that was next to the road. Each time it happened, terror flew through my body.
Not only terror but also the cold from laying down in snow each time I saw a car was hurting my body, not to forget how damaged it was already.
After what felt like hours, but probably was only tens of minutes, I felt my legs giving up on me. The tiredness kicked in as the wind had gotten stronger and gave me a harder time. I was now riding in the middle of nowhere, snow falling down from the sky, where on each side of the road I could only see the fog. The road in front of me seemed endless, nothing to be seen that changed up the scenery.
I felt like I was paddling for dear life, but not moving anymore. As I looked down at the road under me, I could see I wasn't going fast. I decided to take a short break when a tree appeared next to the road. I got off and parked my bike against the trunk, while I sat down under the tree on the opposite side of the road, out of the wind. I pulled my hood up and covered my face as I pulled the strings as tight as possible. The jacket must have been from one of the boys since it was so big on me. I pulled my arms in the sleeves and sat there, kinda snugly in my jacket, staring into the white nothingness that the fog had created.
I felt tired, I felt myself dozing off. I closed my eyes and thought about taking a little nap. But right before I let my body rest frostbite flew through my mind.
Could I freeze to death if I fell asleep right now?
I fought the tiredness, afraid of the idea of dying by the cold. I forced my eyes to be open as I stared in front of me.
"Princess?" I spun around as I heard a soft voice say my name.
My heart started to beat immensely fast as I turned around to look at the road. I quickly calmed down as I saw no car parked and no guys with angry faces staring at me. I turned back to where I previously looked and jumped at the sight.
There she is.
All I wanted,
Was for her to appear.
Shock filled my face as she tilted her head and smiled at me, waving.
"Princess? Are you ready?" she jumped up a little as she gestured me to follow.
I stood up and saw her clapping while she giggled. "Come on let's go!" she spun around and started running into the fog. She had an at least 30 feet head start while she started to run that I had to catch up with.
"Bunny wait!" I screamed as I quickly started running after her, smiling like an idiot.
Finally.
