(This story takes place when Marco and Star are still in school)
In music class, Star was very happy. She was about to get her instrument she's always wanted to play, the violin. The music teacher handed her a long black case.
"Here is your violin!"
Star eagerly unzipped the case to see a cherry wood 4/4 violin.
"Oh my goodness I'm so happy I finally go it!" She turned to Marco who also had an instrument. His was a trumpet.
"Wow Star that's cool! Are you gonna play it?"
"Duh! So how do I exactly work this thingy?"
She picked up the bow and played an E string. It scratched against the string causing it to produce a high pitched note. Marco covered his ears and screamed.
"Gahhh Star stop!" He grabbed the bow from her.
"Oops, I guess I'll need a tutor to help me play it," she giggled.
Marco couldn't help but smile at her. The way she looks when she's sorry makes him feel guilty.
"It's ok I'll teach you!"
"Really? Do you know how to play?"
"Of course! I was in a orchestra once but I got out. I wasn't able to make it to the concerts so I quit."
Star frowned. "Awe Marco I'm sorry!"
"No it's ok it's not your fault. Besides I think the trumpet is my best option."
After school, the two walked home. They did their homework and began to practice their instruments.
Star took her violin and sat on the couch. Marco sat next to her. She grabbed her now and music sheets waiting for Marco to instruct her.
"Ok so first you need to learn the notes." He pointed to the first string. "This is G, second is D, third is A and fourth is E."
Star nodded as if she understood. "So how do you play notes?"
"We'll get to that. So here take your bow and slide it on the G string."
She did as she was told and slid the bow across it. It produced a scratchy sound which caused Marco to cringe.
Star looked at him and sighed. "Marco it's ok if you don't want to help me." She got up and started to walk upstairs when Marco grabbed her wrist.
"Marco what are you-?"
Before she could speak he kissed her lips. She hesitated but then gave in as she kissed him back. Marco broke the kiss. He looked at Star and smiled. She blushed hard, confused at what just happened.
She then dropped the violin and it broke. The strings had snapped and left a crack on the back.
Star's eyes widened. She looked at her now damaged violin and looked back at Marco. She bursted out laughing. So did Marco.
"I'm in so much trouble."
"You said it."
