(This is based off of me and my friend at lunch. Hes amazing and i look up to him a whole lot (but he doesnt know dat :/) Basically he uses my phone cuz he doesn't have one. Mainly for games but hope you enjoy the short story)
The bell rang dismissing 5th period. Star frantically screamed realizing how loud she was, she calmed herself and rushed downstairs to the cafeteria. As she was walking her heart beated fast and in her mind she was thinking,
"Oh geez I can't wait omg is he here? What if he's not? I hope he is. Oh gosh is he here?!"
Her mind just exploded with anxiousness. She walked towards the doors leading outside the cafeteria and opened them. She caught a glimpse of Marco sitting down at the table. She raced to him and patted his head.
"Hello!" She said.
He turned around and smiled. He waved at her. "Hi."
She squealed in her mind as she took a seat next to him. He just stared at her like always with his dark brown eyes. It was a thing he did until she caught him and he returned her with a cute smile. "So how's life?"
"Ok. So here's my phone!"
She handed him her phone as he took it. He had an account on her phone which he uses for playing games like Battlelands Royale and Webtoons. (These are literally all the apps my friend uses😂 and YouTube.)
He opened YouTube to watch Fortnite videos. Star took admiration in his personality. Sure he's been through a lot but he still managed to smile and laugh when she's around. She noticed how happy he was ever since she came into his life. Ok maybe it wasn't just her but she helped brighten up his days.
It was now 2:15 which meant 1 minute until the bell rang dismissing 6th period. Marco got up and handed Star the phone back.
She smiled. "Thanks!"
"No problem."
Then the bell rang. Before they went separate ways, Marco hugged Star. Her heart exploded with joy. She felt happy with him. As if things could get better. She hugged back.
"See you!"
He waved as he got his backpack and headed upstairs. While Star grabbed her backpack and walked to her next class. That's when her mind went back to Marco. She too was happy Marco was happy. As long as he is, she is too. She felt herself blush; she has developed a slight crush on him, and continued to walk as she whispered to herself.
"So cute."
