The irresponsible male
So believable with their tall tales
They suck you in and lead you to believe
That you are more than they can conceive
Then they toss you aside, like dirt
Using every method in the book to skirt
The responsibility of fooling your emotions
And leaving you with your fragile heart broken
The selfish man will only repeat this action
Never learning, not even a fraction
Destined to lead a solitary, polygamous existence
Breaking hearts in the foreseeable distance
The worst part of it all is that you were made to feel special
Told every lie to make you feel on a level
Higher than every girl imaginable
When really you are closer to them all, just more gullible
He will use silence to crush you
To turn you into a crazed fanatic
Making you seem desperate and dramatic
Not realising your power to turn the situation
To make him realise his errors but not on this occasion
This is your lesson, one of many
This one you realised when he dropped the penny
The missed calls and blanked texts
You can see now that he was already on to the next
Then comes the obligatory apology
Full of false remorse and pity
Just remember they all come back, eventually
Even when they seemingly moved on so quickly
They'll find ways to explain it, the same old excuses
Of how they tricked you and other girls for different uses
But it's all bullshit, the gift of the charming persuader
When really they are nothing but a temporary time waster
Whatever they say, don't accept it
Just move on before you regret it.
