Tristan woke up falling off his bed. "Ooof, ouch. Oh man that was a weird dream." He said standing up. "Hey Thunder, I dreamed you were a dragon. It was so weird. I named you Phantom too. I guess you suit that name in a way." He talked to his cat that hissed back. He walked down stairs where an owl landed on his head. "No, NO!" Tristan yelled shocked trying to remember if it was actually a dream or not.

"What's wrong dear? Sorren scare you?" His mum asked.

"No, no, NO!" Tristan screamed running out the door and racing into the forest. He found the door open and walked in to see the creature hanging upside down in the corner by a root in the ceiling. "What's happening?!" He yelled putting his head in his hands. Phantom walked up to him and nudged him. "This, this can't be real. This can't be happening. How are you here? How are you even alive?!" He yelled at the dragon who sat up licking its fur paw. "Ok, ok Tristan. You must still be dreaming." He convinced himself and hit himself in the head. "Nope definitely not dreaming." He continued now rubbing his hurting head. "Unbelievable." Tristan looked over to the dragon who just sat there staring at him. "Ok, change of plan. No one is to know about you. People will try and kill you, or put you in the army as a weapon." He shivered. "Ok don't let anyone see you ok. Never. We have to keep you a secret. Good thing I named you Phantom because that's what you have to be." He told the dragon who smiled a gummy smile at him. "Everything I ever believed is real!" He told himself examining Phantoms retractable teeth. "The dragons are all coming back." The dragon licked his face. "Ewwww, would you stop doing that!" The dragon laughed at him.

"Ready bud, let's try this out." Tristan said tightening the saddle he put around his neck. He took a deep breath in and hopped on. "Now, gently." He begged patting the back of Phantoms head. The dragon smiled and leaped out of the meadow faster than Tristan expected. Both of them shot into the air up to the clouds. Tristan slowly opened his eyes to see Phantom gliding calmly just below the clouds. He reached his hands up and felt the mist clouds hit his hand. He examined how the dragons wings moved against the wind. Each feather cutting through the air effortlessly. "Hey, this isn't so bad." He smiled. Phantom gave him and evil grin and before Tristan knew it they were diving towards the land spinning on the way. Tristan felt sick after a while and the dragon pulled up. They flew back up to the clouds. Phantom flew through them leaving a foggy trail behind him. He spun and then stopped in the air falling back towards the land again. As they fell both of them smiled. He turned gliding above the clouds. "Woooohoooo! YEAH!" Tristan yelled lifting up his arms. Phantom shot a fire ball in the air where it exploded in front of them. "Come on..."

They landed on a nearby island just off shore of Denmark. Tristan washed his face in the nearby stream to get the burnt marks and ash from the fire off his face. He looked over to Phantom who was chewing on a few fish. "SKWAARK!" A strange noise came from the other side of the hill.

"What was that?" Tristan asked him. He slowly walked over the hill where he saw a giant bird stuck in some vines. He took a closer look examining it from the top of the hill. The bird was huge, with two long, strong legs. It had two spotted wings and a tail with what looked like spikes hidden underneath the feathers it had a scaled beak and long feathers at the back of its head hiding more spikes underneath. It squawked again showing its bright blue colour. Tristan squatted down and took out his hand book to draw it. He then took out his drawings of the dragons from the book of dragons and compared the bird to them. He noticed this one looked like a Deadly Nadder. "Haha! Yes! Phantom check this out. We found another dragon. I thought you would be the only one."

Tristan walked over to the dragon where it squawked at him. He took out his pocket knife and started cutting away at the vines trapping it. The dragons eyes widened as it noticed the knife but Tristan threw it away and reached out his hand. It moved away from him shocked and smelt the air. It slowly walked up and rubbed his hand. "What should we name you? I'll have to give it a think, but for now how about we be friends?" He asked the dragon who smiled and squawked a happy tune. Tristan smiled and patted its nose. "Do you think there are other dragons on this island bud?" He asked Phantom. He ran over another hill and roared. The Nadder like bird ran over to him and over the hill. Tristan watched as they disappeared over the other side. He walked over to them to see an entire city of ruin. A bunch of wood and rock everywhere. He walked around examining it. He saw the tall mountain of rock at the side of it and noticed the broken door. Walking in and seeing all the dragon carvings above and the drawings of dragons on the walls. "Wait a minute." Tristan whispered running out of the cave like area. He jumped on Phantom and they flew away to get a better look of the island. They stopped and Tristan looked at it. He took out another drawing he copied from the book and held it up to compare it to the scenery. "Unbelievable." He managed to say through his breath. "Bud, we've found it! It's Berk!" He yelled. The town was crumbled and ruined but you could tell where each building was placed. "If we found one dragon, there has to be other right?"
