Michael's POV

"Thank you guys," Bambi said after gulping a piece of her sandwich. It had taken a while for her to calm down until now. All of us knew we weren't just going to leave her like that especially in one of the boy's toilets. Instead of going on with our day we all made a silent promise to stay with her even if it meant missing classes.

It really sucked watching her act like this. It was strange seeing her moods change so quickly like they did. Her eyes were on the verge of tears. It almost looked like she changed so fast she wanted to pretend nothing happened. Hopefully she'll be better by the time we get on route. Sure, she may not have a clue what I'm learning but the gesture was nice. And she seems great to be around if you don't push her too far.

We had all gathered in a circle when everyone got back. I sat next to Bambi with Luke on the other side of her, Ashton on the other side of him, and Calum next to me. Our backpacks turned into personal tables. Silence enveloped our group in comfort just letting us enjoy each of our meals.

Luke pulled out his phone from his back pocket. I knew he was going to put on music. He always did when we were quiet. It was only a matter of what artist he was going to put on this time.

Bambi looked over at him as he scrolled through the screen. He showed her his phone. Immediately her eyes lit up and she pointed to something on display. Nodding, Luke tapped the screen and set it down in the middle of the circle. "Kiss Me" by Ed Sheeran came through his phone. Ash and Calum perked up at the same time, their eyes glancing over at the other two smiling through their full cheeks.

Already I saw Luke preparing himself with the hook about to come in. Bambi smiled up at him sitting up since she was originally laying on her stomach. She pulled her hair from one side to the other. Luke watched her. He was probably waiting to see if she'd steal the hook first.

As soon as the words filled the room, so did her voice. It was soft, but still solid. Guess it must be a choir thing or something since I've heard Ashton sing like that before. She and Luke harmonized a few times before the chorus set in. The rosy tint in her cheeks burned red as we all picked a part to sing to make this amazing sound we haven't always gotten with just the four of us singing. Thank god it was her singing the high part in the melody instead of any of us as she put a little power in her sound. Her eyes fluttered closed feeling the music. She even put in a bit of sway in as the strong part of the song came up. Her and Luke were left to harmonize at that part letting the room fill with her beautiful voice and his added kick to the song. All of us joined back in at the chorus doing what we've already done. Bambi had so much confidence in her voice and it showed; she wasn't afraid to rip one out for us letting her nose scrunch up a bit at the final chorus.

The final line of the song came up. Joining in, I was the only one that harmonized with her at the end even if it was a solo. Her attention landed on me as we drew out our remaining notes, a smile creeping onto her lips and widening her sound. I couldn't help but smile as well thinking we had a bit of a moment there. I was probably imaging things, but I don't care. Her voice was too amazing already and I only got a taste of it.

"Atta girl!" Ashton exclaimed throwing his hand at her for a loud high-five. Bambi has turned her smile into one similar to the Cheshire Cat's as she let her body fall backwards covering her face with her hands. Her laugh erupted contagious among us. We all knew how amazing that sounded.

Luke pulled her back up into a sitting position. Her hands fell in her lap showing off her face glowing entirely red. "That was amazing!" he chuckled throwing his arm around her like a brother would his sister. "Where did you learn to sing like that?"

She giggled making me swallow a mouthful of saliva I didn't know I was hoarding. "Practice and choir, my dude! And what about you guys?! You all were the fucking bomb! I didn't know you all knew music."
