Connections

Alex was so nervous and terrified , he didn't really care what he looked liked , he only cared about how many people were going to be there . "Liam . you have been to a concert right ?" He asked him , Liam sat playing games while Alex cooked them up some lunch .

"Yeah . Why ?" Liam replied with a mouth full of pretzel sticks . Alex was used to him talking with his mouth full of food so he could fairly understand the language .

"How many people will be there ?" Alex asked sweating a little , waiting for the answer he prepared for .

"A lot , you sure you wanna go ?" Liam paused his game and turned to see the reaction he would be getting from an anti-social artist and gamer . 

"Will I be okay ? You have to come with !" Alex began to freak out which led to him going down on his knees , he clenched his hands together , shutting his eyes , in front of Liam . He begged "Please , I'll pay you back , you can buy a ticket at the door ."

"I'll go if you become my humble servant ." Liam tried negotiating , crossing his arms and to Alex it looked like he had become the devil , black horns sprung out Liam's head and he was surrounded by red flames , he had a wild imagination .

"Yes I'll do it ." Alex continued to beg and continued to sweat nervously . It was the first time he had ever gotten down and begged for something ,Liam seemed worried but surprised . 

"Then I'll go but we must leave early , I wanna stop somewhere ." Liam stood up off the couch .

"Thank you ." Alex stood up off the floor tidying up his clothes once again . 

Knock knock "Delivery for Liam Alexandre ."

"I'll get it ." Liam walked to the door , signed the sheet of paper that was being held on a clip board and accepted the post , Alex continued to watch him , looking a little puzzled on why it was sent to his place .

"Why did you have it delivered here ?" Alex asked cleaning his glasses , they seemed to have gotten misty from the cooking . 

"Oh , I just never changed the address from when I used to live here ." Liam said  putting the small packet into his bag . "I'm here all the time so it doesn't matter ."

Liam began to look back at the much better days of his life . Liam loved to party , Alex on the other hand would rather stay home reading , painting or gaming , the typical Geek but also an imaginative nerd . Alex and him had gone to the same college , they were in different dorms though . Once they had finished they got a job in the city , they lived in Alex's current apartment , it's a small two bedroom .  Alex and Liam attended a rather slow party together but Liam found it kind of lame so he drifted off and sat by himself drinking , that's when he met his deceased wife , her name was Grace . She had short brown hair that time and the most gorgeous hazel eyes , she was really short only reaching Liam's arm pits , her chest was huge though . Instead of a team of two , they became a team of three . When Liam and Grace got engaged , things changed . Liam and Grace moved in together and all the parting had slowed down . Alex appreciated it , he had more time to do what he really wanted . Alex never really knew how much Grace meant to Liam until she died . It was a sad day , Liam never cried at the funeral but as soon as he went to Alex , he couldn't hold the tears back . 

"Liam ?" Alex called going closer to his face as it was the tenth time Alex called his name .

"Oh sorry I was spacing out ." Liam said giving a sensitive smile to show he was doing fine .

"Liam , you never space out ." Alex confronted with another poker face . Alex wasn't the one to show emotions easily and Liam was always happy so it was rare to see him sad or well actually showing his sadness . "What's wrong ?"
