Lonely

Alex was a hard worker and enjoyed doing his work , everyday he found a different inspiration . He would often stay at work late , he really preferred to work at night time , he loved the  darkness , he always felt like he was being looked at in the light which didn't really appeal to him . 

7 pm , everyone else had left work including Stella and Liam , they lefty together to go and get some drinks . Alex couldn't help but picture how Liam was going to try to make a move on Stella , it seemed a little bit inappropriate since it was her first day within this company . Alex locked up and decided to go home , it was dark , the bar was in the same direction as his home , he had no choice but to walk past , all he needed to do was keep his eyes facing forward . If he could do that he wouldn't need to take a peek at them laughing or getting along . It was just up ahead . Looking through the large window , they both sat at the bar , they were pretty close together . Alex stopped to watch them , they would have been able to see him there in that position . 

Alex's eyes met Stella''s as she looked through the corner . "Something wrong Stella ?" Liam asked as her smile decreased . 

"Sorry ." she apologized regaining her smile "Just thought I saw someone i knew ." Alex knew this was his chance to run away while she was distracted . He ran and ran until he got home . 

"They sure seemed to be having fun , right Kira ?" Alex picked up his new cat that he found this morning . She was homeless and Alex was looking to get a cat so it must have been fate . She was fluffy and had such soft grey hair but she was skinny from being on the streets too long . "But I wonder what that was ." 

Meanwhile the 'date' between Liam and Stella took an unpleasant turn . "So what art do you like Liam ?" Stella asked , it's not like she had asked him before , the curiosity was killing her . how could a man like this find joy in art anyway .  

"Nudes ." Liam said one word and she understood immediately . "I mean i'm really good at painting , drawing and sculpting them ." 

"How did you find out you enjoyed it or that you were even good at it ?" Stella asked then downed her wine . 

"I liked art , I really did but my inspiration was the female body . One day I asked my girlfriend in high school to pose for me naked and it was even more exciting than I had anticipated ." Liam let out a loud laugh , his face was becoming more red and his movements were becoming more unstable .

"I think you have had enough to drink ." Stella said taking Liams drink from his hand as he was about to take another sip . 

"No , I want more ." he reached to grab his glass out of Stella's hand . 

"You don't need it ." She fought back , trying to help him as it seemed he had a drinking problem . 

"I need it , I need to forget everything ." Liam let his feelings loose . Not only were his actions uncontrollable but so were his emotions . He fell onto Stella's shoulder and she felt sorry for him as he began to sob , most of the customers at the bar stared rudely at them . 

Stella gave an awful lot of money to the bartender "Here , keep the change as we have caused so much ruckus , sorry for the trouble ." She helped Liam stand and walk , they needed to get home . 

"Alex stay's just around the corner , about 5 blocks away ." Liam said pointing in the direction they needed to walk to . 

"You may be drunk but at least you can direct ." Stella looked at his weary face , she found it adorable . 

Alex looked out the window again like he usually did before going to shower . "Stella ." He saw Stella with Liam hanging from her shoulder , she was struggling and she tried to keep him standing . Alex opened the door and rushed to help her , on his way down the last set of stairs he fell which led to him rolling the rest of the way . Alex was strong though so he jumped back up and ran to Stella . "Is he okay ?"
