Rain

A few months had passed and it seemed everything was going well for both Alex and Stella , everything so far atleast . Stella had completely moved in with Alex . They had only been dating a few months but their love was stronger than anyones , they were 2 halves of a whole , making up for each ones lost trait . 

"I'm sensitive and you know tha8t !" Stella started shouting at Alex . he just sat there playing games .
"maybe we should take a break ." she suggested

Alex turned his head . " I'm sorry, If you think it's best then thays what we should do ." he got up and decided to go for a walk . it was always his go to activity when he was feeling weird .

"where you going ?" she asked with a bright red face , with tears strqming down and snot peeling from her nose .

"For a walk ." Alex grabbed his coat and slammed the door behind him . no one could ever tell what he was feeling because he always put on a calm or cheerful face .
he walked and walked down the busy streets and it started to rain again . it had been nearly a year since he had first met stella . He just wanted to make her happy and make her feel special . He stopped at his regular coffee place . grabbing his usual , he sat and watched the other people walk by from his window seat . To him , he just needed something , a distraction . him and stella were fine he thought . he was playing games and all of a sudden she wanted affection or to spend time together . they spend a lot of time together he thought atleast . What more did she want ?
Maybe he should apologize?

on his way back , it was misty and he could hardly see a thing especially with his glasses that had been rained on . He saw red lights and cones placed on the road . It was right by his apartment , the worst thought had come to pass , he was afraid that it was stella that had gotten hurt . He rushed over and saw her dark dyed hair hanging off of a bed that the paramedics had placed her onto . He ran .

"Is she okay ?" he asked the guys taking her away .

"Who are you ?" the paramedic asked as he was helping his team mates lift her up .

Alex swallowed his spit not knowing what he should say "I'm her boyfriend ."

"Get in ." they nudged him .

The roads were pretty bumpy and they were going as fast as they could . She had an oxygen mask on and she was wrapped in bandage on her leg . It appeared to be broken .

"Alex ........ I tried looking for you ." Stella tried to talk to him but it was hard and her breathing was heavy .

Alex touched her arm , caressing it slowly "Try not to talk . I'm here now ."

The 3 of them sat in the waiting room . Alex , Liam's and Sasha were feeling anxious , not knowing how the emergency operation had gone . It had been hours and still no word from the doctors. 

"Alex ." the doctor called out ."She's going to be okay . She's awake if you want to go talk to her but only one person at a time please ." The doctor led Alex to the room where she was being kept . It was a private room which was nice and it was kept warm . It was now just the two of them .

"I'm sorry Alex . I didnt mean to scare you." Stella started saying, she felt bad the he had to come home to find her on the floor broken .

"It's been a year today , since we met ." Alex smiled grabbing Stella's fragile hand . "I remember it like it was yesterday ."

Stella giggled "hehe , I do too it's weird."

"I remember thinking how I hated the rain on my glasses and you asked me about the building which I by chance worked at ." Alex started recalling the day and his eyes filled with tears and his face lit up , it was one of his happiest days . "I remember thinking you were so beautiful even without my glasses on . I remember how we started working together with our art . I dont want to loose you stella . I'm sorry for not being the best but I'm really trying ." he tried to make himself better for her and he hadn't realized what he had done .

"I'm sorry too Alex I should of spoken to you first about my feelings ." Stella apologized too . She knew it wasn't only him , if she had just communicated correctly then things wouldn't have been tense between them .

Alex stood up and reached down to kiss her . Their lips touched and for a minute it was just them in that moment . All Alex thought about was her . All Alex wanted was her and if he were to loose her , he won't be able to feel it again .

As Alex pulled away from Stella's lips , he was thinking how strange it is that he hated the rain but because of one person it all changed .
He smiled brightly "I used to hate the rain but now I love it because it was raining the day I met you ."
alex paused for a moment and his face became serious . He looked into her eyes "I love you ."

"I love you too ." Stella confessed as well .

I everyone it seemed like Alex didnt feel anything . He would never cry , get sad or even appear to be thinking of anyone except himself . Alex didn't think he would be able to feel this for a girl again , he had his doubts . Stella was special , not just to him but to everyone . Her smile warmed his heart and just being next to her made his bad days better . She was the key to his heart .
