Betrayal

Stephan was standing next to Valentine, he had my dad with a sword to his throat. My mouth was wide open and I tried to find words but I couldn't. I stared at dad wide eyed, he was as surprised as I was.

I finally spat at Valentine, "this is how you knew our every move, you knew because of that bastard!" I pointed at Stephan.

"Of course you little fool. It was easy enough that you trusted him. When he found out that your father was coming he immediately contacted me and made his way over." Valentine sneered.

He made his way over to us and I pushed Alexia behind me putting an arm up protectively.

"How did you break the connection?" Valentine asked looking at us both.

"Wasn't hard," was all I said still glaring at him.

"Let me bring in the person who will take care of both you for me. Lisa!"

I stared as Lisa made her way down the stairs in a dress similar to Alexia's but hers was white. She walked gracefully, the whole time keeping her eyes on mine. She stood beside her father.

"Take them away an this time make sure they don't come back. I've had enough of them." He turned and walked away.

"No! Leave them alone!" I heard my dad yell. He moved against Stephan.

There was no freaking way I would leave my father here. Lisa looked at me ignoring Alexia.

"You know this could have gone a whole different way Sean. If only you hadn't refused your mother. You still have time to change sides if you want. Just let her go and come stand beside me," she said with a seductive voice.

"If I go stand beside you it'll be the worst mistake I'll ever make in my life. I'd rather die than stand beside you. I'll never deny my love for Alexia, not for your sake or anybody's. Understand?" I snarled at her.

"Too bad. We could have made a great team together."

Without further word she wiped out her weapons.

"Get out of here!" I yelled over at Alexia.

"I'm not leaving you," she hissed back.

"Awe, how sweet that you two want to die together. Be my guest." Lisa said with a coy smile.

Lisa was faster than I've ever seen anyone move and she was suddenly in front of me. She grabbed my throat and threw me down easily. She was also too strong. She faced Alexia. From here I could see the resemblance. Same brown hair same body figures, their eyes shaped the same but color made the difference. One was gold and the other was green. Alexia stood tense, she looked back at her showing no fear but anger instead.

"Oh dear sister. Too bad we didn't get to know each other well, I'd say it was a pleasure knowing you but truthfully it wasn't. You took away what I wanted and if I can't have him neither can you."

She raised her sword at the same time I threw myself at her. We both tumbled down, her brown hair everywhere. I grabbed her sword and stood. My father, Valentine, and Stephan were gone.

I turned to Alexia.

"Where did they go?"

"I don't know. One second they were here and the next-" she stopped and stared at something over my shoulder.

The portal, it was open. I ran to it. The insides were moving a little.

"They just jumped through." I turned to face Alexia. Lisa was behind her, "watch out!"

As soon as she turned Lisa slapped her hard enough that she landed on the ground. I started to run towards her when Lisa pulled out a knife.

"Come closer and she's dead!" Lisa yelled.

I froze. She grabbed Alexia by the hair and pulled her up. As soon as she was standing Alexia elbowed her in the face, turned and slapped her back harder. Lisa stumble back and fell on a table. Alexia was standing over her. Lisa did a backflip and was standing again. With invisible speed she was holding Alexia's throat. Alexia kicked her and grabbed her hair and swung her around and threw her. She rolled to a stop near me and gracefully got back up. With that same speed Alexia came and pushed Lisa through the portal.

"Wish I could've killed you bitch!" Alexia yelled.

She was breathing heavily and she slowly turned towards me. I stood surprised and what I'd just seen. I ran to her and hugged her hard.

"We have to go back to the institute, we need to get help we can't do this alone," I whispered to her.

She nodded and let go of me.

"First we need to find the mortal cup if you want this demon out of me," she said not looking up at me.

"God Alexia. Are you sure you still want to do this? if you die I don't what will become of me."

"Yes. Look I know you're worried but you'll have to trust me when I say that I'll be fine. Magnus knows what he's doing and I doubt the angel Raziel would let one of his people die by his hand. I've got this okay. You won't lose me this way,"

I looked at her for a long minute before I answered. "Do you want me to be the one who stabs you to let that demon come out?"

"Yes." she said firmly.

"Just know that if you die I'll follow you, no questions asked. Lets go find that cup.

We found it sooner than we thought and we both jumped through the portal, heading back to Seattle.
