As soon as I landed I stood and looked around the library. The Morgensterns stared at me. I jumped slightly as Alexia came through. Except she fell straight to the ground and didn't get back up.
I kneeled beside her on the floor. "Alexia, Alexia what's wrong?" She didn't answer.
I heard moving and people talking. I was still shaking Alexia when I saw another pair of hands. I looked up and found Stephanie staring back at me.
"Get away from her," I hissed at her. Their expressions looked hurt. But I didn't care. Last time I saw them they tried to kill her.
I picked her up and climbed up the stairs, the doors were luckily open and so I went out to the hallway and into my room. I kicked the door open. I looked around and saw that nothing much had changed. I gently put her on my bed and put the blankets around her. I sat at the foot of bed and looked her. She didn't seem like she was breathing but I knew that she was still alive. I sat there for I don't know how long. Night was starting to fall and I heard a knock on the door. When I didn't answer I heard the door open.
"Sean can we talk to you?" I heard the familiar accent of Nathan.
I decided to get this over with so I stood and walked to the door. I closed it behind me and looked the Morgensterns. Their expressions showed nothing.
"What do you want? if You're here to kill her you'll have to kill me first. I'm still trying to figure out if you work for Valentine as well because I don't know what the hell to believe right now. My father was taken by him and Stephan so I'm no mood right now, if you're looking for a fight I'm good and ready." I looked at every single one of their faces. Jack stepped forward and let go of Stephanie's hand.
"We know the whole story. Magnus, Mia, and Jordan told us everything. We know about the sacrifice you have to make, we also know about everything you went through these last couple of days so trust me when I say that we're sorry."
"Look, we were all foolish. We didn't let you explain when you had the chance. We should have all been there for you and her, we're sorry," Shelby said. She looked me in the eye and gave me a weak smile.
I did the unexpected. I stepped forward and hugged Jack. He froze, surprised.
"I forgive you guys," I told him. I stepped back and looked at them.
"So what are you gonna do?" asked Nathan.
"She wants me to try and get the demon out. I just don't know if I can do that. She already made me promise that I would but I just don't know," I looked at them warily.
"What about your father?" asked Stephanie.
"I don't know where the hell Stephan and Valentine took him and I have no idea where to start looking. I just hope he's alright. I know Valentine won't kill him. He'll want him in trade for the Mortal cup."
"What do you mean 'in trade'." Jack asked.
"I have it. I have the cup. I brought it with me from Valentine's house. I brought it because we need it for the ritual." I told him. "If you don't mind looking out for her, I gotta go talk to Magnus and see if he can track my father." I started to move but Nathan stopped me.
"I have something to give you." He digged in his pocket and pulled out a ring.
"Are you gonna ask Shelby to marry you?!" I asked astonished.
His face turned red, it was priceless. "No, look this is from your dad. He said it was your family ring. He wants you to have it, he didn't know if you were going to come back." He handed it to me.
I turned the ring around and saw three flames side by side. It was made out of either silver or steel, I couldn't tell. I slipped it on.
"Thanks,"
He simply nodded. "And you can go do whatever you need, we'll look after her."
I have him a look.
"Honestly. We're sorry about what we did. We didn't know about anything until Jordan and Magnus came to us."
I nodded and walked away. I headed to Jacks room and knocked. No one answered so I went in. I took a quick shower and bowered some of his clothes. I got the same pair of jeans and shirt he let me wear not long ago. I went down to the library and secured myself with some weapons. I went to the garage and got into my car. Weeks after I had settled in dad had bought me a new car. It was expensive due to the fact that it was a Bugatti 16.4 Grand Sport Vitesse. I had no clue where he had gotten the money to buy it. I started the engine and headed out. I drove quickly to Magnus's apartment. I knocked three times. Magnus answered.
"I need to talk you."
