Ending it all

I saw bodies everywhere.

Blood pooled at my feet.

The survivors looked up at me with hate in their eyes.

I couldn't do it.

I couldn't do the one thing I wanted to do.

I couldn't kill him.

So he killed everyone.

It was over.

Valentine had killed my father and everyone I loved.

I looked down and I saw the Morgenstern's lifeless bodies around me.

Alexia's face was one he didn't see.

"I told you Sean. You wouldn't win. This is the consequence of your choices. All of this is your fault. If only you had decided to join us none of them would be dead. It's your fault."

Instead of Lisa I saw Alexia looking at me with Valentine and her sister beside her.

"It's your fault."

It's your fault.

"Sean! Wake up! Its just a dream!"

My eyes flew open at the sound of her voice. Her face inches from mine.

"It's okay. I'm here."

I pulled her to me and I kissed her. She responded but she was gentle. I pulled back and she laid down beside me. Tears were in my eyes and I put my head on her chest. I placed my body on top of hers and I settled myself down. She stroked my hair as the tears came. She held me as I cried.

"It'll be okay Sean, I promise."

Minutes passed as I calmed down.

I can't let that happen. I can't let anyone die. I have to kill Valentine with no hesitations.

"We have to end this once and for all," I whispered.

"I know."

I looked up at her.

"I'm ready." I said.

"It's time. We need to move against Valentine and end this."

The Morgenstern's stood side by side looking at me. I felt as their leader ever since Stephan had betrayed us.

"I know you have your doubts but you have to trust me."

"We don't know what type of things he'll be using against us," Nathan said.

"He has tricks up his sleeves, I know he does," said Alexia from behind.

"He won't go down without a fight," Shelby remarked.

"I know. That's why we have to fight back," I said.

"Last time we did he almost killed us all. Do you remember when he stabbed you and you almost bled to death!? We barely came out alive and now you want us to go through that again!" Jack said.

"We have no choice! If we don't deal with Valentine now it will be hell on earth for us every day of our lives. Besides he has my father!" I exclaimed. I was frustrated with them.

"He's right. I'd rather do this now than later," Alexia said.

They all stayed quiet at that.

I heard heels click behind me and Jessica soon appeared beside me.
