TAMBAYAN CHALLENGE
How the challenge works:
1. You are to write a story from scratch. On-going stories are NOT eligible to join.
2. You are to make an UD every week. Cycle starts and ends every 10pm of Sundays, Philippine Time.
3. You are encouraged to read all the participants' entries. A couple of chapters/parts updated per week is not too much to read. We do this to encourage our fellow writers to keep on.
4. You can upload as many chapters/parts you can in a week. But strictly, NO OFFSETTING. You cannot UD ahead of time and claim that you have already your UD for the following week.
For the first week, a UD which contains only synopsis, casts, author's note, summary, blurb, teaser or what not, is NOT considered a UD.
(Please read: PROLOGUE must be used properly. Please research first what a prologue is. Many writers are guilty of using prologue for another purpose. Since we all wish to grow here as writers, we hope to correct your misconceptions about the use of prologues).
5. No limit as to the number of chapters you need to work on to complete the challenge. If you can complete your story in 10 chapters, feel free. If you believe in forever, then you can keep on writing until you've reached an infinite number of chapters. Lol.
6. Non-compliance will eliminate you from the challenge. (Please read: only from the challenge but not from this bookclub. We do not kick out members in the first place).
This is a challenge, afterall. We cannot be too lenient or the thrill will be lost.
7. We are giving certificates to participants.
Certificates of Recognition will be given every 2-week cycle to those who will be able to comply.
We hope to improve the rewards system to extrinsically motivate everyone. We believe though that your participation is already a reward in itself since you leaped out of your comfort zone and challenged yourself to get that fingers working.
Tambayan Challenge 1.0 and 2.0 are currently on-going but closed for new participants.
Please watch-out for the upcoming projects of Rendezvous.
