"okay class, so I have to ask this but the formal is coming up soon, get your tickets soon" Mr. Alaric Saltzman said Elena smiled she really wants Stefan to ask her. Class ended and Everyone left leaving Elena, Stefan, Caroline, bonnie and Matt " okay so who's going to the formal"Caroline asked just as the girls were about to speak Caroline spoke " you girls have to options, I'm making your dresses"Caroline said as the girls nodded "okay, Matt you going"Bonnie asked Matt looked at Elena and walked to her " can I talk to you"Matt asked Elena, Elena looked at Stefan then at Matt she let out a smile " okay"Elena said and walked with Matt. leaving Stefan watching there every move they weren't that far away so Stefan decided to eavesdrop " so Elena as you can see formal is coming" matt said causing Elena to nod " I was wondering if you would go with me"Matt asked Stefan was getting mad because he was going to ask Elena to the formal but Matt beat him to it " oh wow Matt, you know I love you, but just as friends"Elena said. Matt nodded " I thought you would like to go with me, but seems to me someone stole your heart already"Matt smiled " I'll see ya later?"matt asked and Elena nodded feeling guilty. Stefan smiled he can actually ask Elena now he just needs to find a perfect way to ask her. Elena walked up to the rest of the group " what happened?"bonnie asked " Matt asked me to formal"Elena said looking at Stefan as Stefan looked down " but I denied, I'm waiting for someone to ask me"Elena said and Stefan looked up " okay, oh elena, cheerleading try-outs tomorrow, BE THERE"Caroline informed her Elena laughed and nodded "alright"Elena said as Stefan laughed.
