CHAPTER 12
Firstly, I sincerely apologize about previous chapter. That was very evil of me. Then again, I just couldn't help it. Please don't hate on me! *giggles*
Whew! 2 updates in less than five days?! What a feat. I've never done that before.
Oh. Hi! Another VERY quick update for your perusal. This SHORT chapter is VERY UNEDITED. Tons of redundancies and mistakes. Sorry... As usual, I'll come back at another time to fix what I can.
Thanks for all your reads, comments, and votes on the previous chapter. I very much appreciate and love them all.
Hope y'all like what I've come up with. Without further ado, enjoy!

CHAPTER 12
F.I.T.Z
… OH… MY… GOD…
Yep, that was my very first and now and only thought pertaining to Cayden’s acquired swimming time.
Afraid that I would hyperventilate, I blinked my eyes incessantly as if it would help my chaotic wrecked of a mind. Unfortunately, it didn’t help one bit. However, once my excessive blinking had stopped, and my vision seemed to have cleared, I forced myself to take in a lot of long, deep breaths to help soothe my rattled nerves and my rapidly thumping heart inside my chest cavity.
Seconds, minutes passed for sure that I finally realized the plausible explanation as to why I was whatever I was right now. It was due to the fact or reason that the only thing that had at first sent me close to another brink of insanity, only to then send me into a state of pure calmness was not actually a ‘thing’.
It was ‘someone’.
To be more precise, it was Cayden.
Cayden and that fucking beautiful face of his, which was now carved with a shocked expression.
I just sighed deeply. Damn me and my clouded mind filled with Cayden this and Cayden that. Argh!
After witnessing Cayden taking off his swimming goggles and cap, and then swimming away along the width of the end of the pool towards the ladder by the wall of Lane 1 alongside other swimmers in his Heat, my head quickly whirled itself around and tilted up slightly to study the scoreboard. To be specific, my vision only seemed to center on Cayden’s acquired time. I wasn’t sure really at the number of times I had read those numbers, hoping it would help me make sense of what had happened and what was going to happen next… the magnitude of it all. All I knew was that my mind was a jumble of mess.
Then, the next coherent thought I realized had formed inside my head was, Fuck me. I’ll be damned.
Yes. I was damned to hell. Seriously, how–? What the–? OH… MY… GOD… Fuck my life.
