"Legend has it there once lived a girl. She had golden blonde hair and forest-deep eyes. The little girl was happy, always smiling and lived a carefree life. From day to day she only ran around and played with her Pokémon.
It seemed like this was the way life was supposed to be.
But it wasn't, not one bit.
It was another warm and sunny day in the middle of summer. The Pidgey's were chirping, some cooling breezes blew from time to time and the little girl was running through the fields with her beloved Kirlia. They had big smiles on their faces and they were in their own wonderland, not paying attention to anything around them.
And then it happened.
A giant Ursaring charged out of the forest, attacking the poor, defenseless Kirlia. The little girl stood there in shock, as she watched the Hibernator Pokémon kill her best friend.
And then, the same young girl, who had never felt pain, who had never cried, was filled with anger. The air grew tense around her. Without even noticing, the little girl rose her hands and there was a bright glow surrounding her. She turned her raging gaze towards the Ursaring and mumbled these words, spitting each and every one out with disgust:
"You…killed her. You…took away her life. You…ripped her to pieces. And you…will pay…with the same."
And a painful scream escaped from her lips. The Hibernation Pokémon clutched it's head, falling to it's knees and crying in pain.
The little girl continued to manipulate with the Ursaring's mind, until everything fell silent and the Ursaring's lifeless body fell to the ground.
Now, the little girl was frightened. She ran home as fast as she could, locking herself into her room. No matter how much her parents pled, she didn't came out. She decided, that no one must ever know of her powers.
During the next years, the little girl learned how to control these powers and when the little girl had turned eighteen, she finally showed herself to the world again.
Everyone was happy and they even threw a big party for her. But the little girl, who was now a grown woman, could never turn back to her normal, carefree life. And whenever somebody asked about her past, she fell quiet. That was a sign to change the subject.
Years passed, and our little girl had grown up. She was happily married and was a proud mother of her newborn daughter.
When her daughter turned twelve, she thought it was the right time to pass on her powers. And she did, saying softly to her daughter:
"I never told you about my past life, but I assure you, when the time comes, you'll get to know. And the time is now, as you are still young and will most definitely make more use of my gift that I could. This is why I'm making you the next Ruler of Minds."
The woman placed her hand on her little girl's head and the room was filled with a bright light.
From that day on, the mysterious psychic powers along with the title of the Ruler of Minds has been passed on from mother to daughter from generations." Malva finished.
"And you're saying that…" I asked quietly, turning my gaze to Malva.
"Yes. Alice is the Ruler of minds." She grinned.
"No way." I exclaimed. "That's not physically possible!"
"You don't believe me? Well, you can ask her yourself." Malva said and the metal door burst open.
Two Team Flare grunts stepped in with Alice between them.
"Why hello there, dear Alice!" Malva greeted. "Glad to have you here."
