I released Litwick, who shined a light to the room. And then I saw who had made that noise.
In the far corner of the room there was another cage, inside it was a little Pancham. The poor thing was terrified, as she had a frightened look. I crawled out of my corner and took a closer look at the Pancham. Her left arm had a big red mark on it, definitely done by Team Flare.
"It's ok, don't be afraid." I whispered gently to the Pancham. "I want to help."
Now it was even more scared and she tried to get as far away from me as possible.
"No, no, I don't want to hurt you." I said again.
The Pancham still didn't seem to trust me, but she gave me a questioning look.
"Wait and see." I told her.
I returned Litwick and released her once more, but this time I did it outside the bars. I also slipped a shrunken Pokéball out of my cage, which Litwick caught. Then she waddled over to Pancham, holding the Pokéball up.
Litwick said something to Pancham, which made her hesitantly come closer and nudge the Pokéball with her nose once, to make it bigger, second, to catch herself.
When the Playful Pokémon was caught, Litwick came back to me. I took the Pokéball from her and also returned the Candle Pokémon. I clicked the Pancham's Pokéball and made her appear.
She wasn't as scared as she was before, but I could see she still had trust issues. I took a potion and a tissue from by bag. I gently took the Playful Pokémon's arm. There was a small wound on her arm. It wasn't that bad, but it needed to be treated right away, or else it could get worse. I sprayed the Potion on her arm. The Pancham winced and let out a hushed cry.
"Sorry!" I said, cleaning the wound with my tissue. "I know it stings a little, but it'll be better soon."
She gave me a weak smile, trying to stay strong. When I finished off with the Potion, I wrapped the piece of cloth around the Pancham's arm and also gave her an Oran Berry from my bag. She quickly grabbed it and munched down on it. I guess she was also hungry. Come to think of it, I was, too, and I picked another berry from the bag for myself.
"You know, I can free you once we get out of here." I told Pancham, chewing on my berry.
She looked at me with her big eyes and shook her head.
"You don't?" I asked her and she nodded.
I smiled in return and we continued to fill our stomachs.
Tap, tap, tap, tap. I heard someones footsteps echoing on the metal floor. I quickly returned Pancham, promising her everything will be alright and shoved the Pokéball into my bag.
The door opened, letting shining some light into the room. A woman came in, dragging along a tray with five Pokéballs on it. She left the tray at the door and came closer to my cage. She had very short purple hair with matching purple glasses…at leas I think those were glasses. She had a red suite, black leggings and red boots.
I recognized her from when me and Tyler first encountered Team Flare on our trip. The woman stood in front of me, the only thing separating us were the bars.
"Please give me your Pokémon!" She said.
"What!? No way!" I exclaimed in surprise.
"I said, give me your Pokémon!" She said a little louder and a Manectric walked into the room, sitting next to the purple-haired woman.
"Didn't you hear me?" The woman raised an eyebrow.
"I am not. Giving you. My Pokémon." I stated.
