Chan stood up to answer it, opening the door to reveal a tall boy with black hair that hung over his face from being completely soaked with water. He wore a white shirt that had became see-through due to the rain along with a brown jacket on his shoulders.

Chan ushered him in, closing the door. He said some words to this boy that I didn't comprehend before running into the hallway.

I couldn't keep my eyes off of him. Though he was shivering and that made me frown.

We made eye contact and both look away quickly. Tension rose between us within seconds. I wasn't sure what he was thinking but all I could think about was how hot he looked. And cute. He was definitely cute.

Chan came back with a towel, handing it to the boy before sweeping his jacket from his shoulders and setting it on the coat rack near the door.

"I'm pretty sure I have some extra clothes you left here in my room. Do you want me to go grab them?" Chan asked, this time I was listening.

"Yes, please." The unnamed boy shivered. Chan again left into the hallway to retrieve the boy's extra clothes.

We made eye contact again, and this time we did not look away from each other.

"Hey." He said with a chuckle, smiling awkwardly.

"Hi." I responded. I'm pretty sure he only saw my lips move I was so quiet.

We both looked away again. That only made the tension rise.

Chan came back with the stack of extra clothes and pushed the boy into the hallway to probably change in a bathroom.

I realized the movie had ended and stood to turn the television off with the remote before sitting back down on the couch.

"I'm making you soup!" Chan yelled as he passed by me and into his kitchen. The kitchen was right behind the living room. I was able to look back and see what Chan was doing and he was in fact making soup.

The boy came back out in some dry clothes with a towel on his head. He plopped down next to me on the couch.

"I'm Hyunjin." He introduced, smiling as he used the towel to dry his soaking hair off.

"Seungmin." I replied. It became quiet once again.

"Hey, stop acting like a bunch of angsty teens and talk to each other." Chan exclaimed abruptly, taking us both by surprise.

"Hyung, we aren't angsty teens." Hyunjin said, looking back at Chan.

So he was also younger than Chan.

"Y'all are in Bio together. Stop acting like you don't know each other." He snapped.

"You're in my Bio class?" Hyunjin asked, turning back to me. I shrugged, unsure of it myself.

"How do you even know that? Stalker." Hyunjin stated, looking back at Chan.

"B**ch." Chan responded.

Were they fighting? They shouldn't be fighting. I thought they were friends.

"Oh you wanna go there?" Hyunjin stated, standing up onto his knee.

"Come-" Chan froze when he saw my expression. "Actually don't. I need to finish your soup. Seungmin, calm down, we were kidding."

I covered my face with my shirt when Hyunjin looked over at me. I did not have a lot of common sense when it came to things like this, and that was because of the way my parents fought.

"Are you okay?" Hyunjin asked, sitting back down on the couch.

"He's fine. His parents fight." Chan answered for me as he came back into the room.

I brought my shirt back down as Chan handed Hyunjin the soup.

"So what are you doing here?" Chan asked as he sat on the couch.

"I was coming from an appointment and I ran out of gas halfway home. And my car happened to stop right outside your house because you know, I pass by your house anyways on my way home." Hyunjin explained before starting to sip on the soup.

"Oh. Well Seungmin this is one of my friends, Hyunjin. You two are the same age so don't worry about honorifics. I've been friends with Hyunjin since middle school." Chan explained. "Hyunjin, this is my friend Seungmin. We became friends towards the end of last year. He's a cool kid, I swear."

"Like, Kim Seungmin?" Hyunjin asked for clarification. In which, I nodded.

"I'm serious about him being cool, though, Hyunjin. Despite what Jisung says, he's not mean in anyway." Chan said.

He knows Jisung. . .

"You know Jisung?" I asked, my voice still hushed since I didn't know this guy very well.

"Yeah. He's one of my best friends." Hyunjin says. "He hates you."

Chan smacked him on the head. "Ow!" Hyunjin cursed as he rubbed the back of his head.

"I don't blame him." I confessed, looking away sadly.

It went quiet before I heard whispers between the two. They were quite loud whispers.

"Look what you did!" Chan whispered.

"I'm sorry! I didn't know he'd get upset!" Hyunjin fired back in a whisper.

"Well you could've just been quiet it about it!" Chan whispered in a frustrated tone.

"I just met him for the first time after hearing all this bad sh*t about him, what do you expect-" I suddenly hear Hyunjin's voice muffled. I look back to see Chan holding Hyunjin's mouth as if to stop him from saying anymore.

"He's kidding." Chan chuckled nervously.

Does Jisung really hate me that much?

Did I lack that much color?
