Even before I knew about Fenris, about being a mutant I loved wolves. Everything about them including how they lived in close packs, their snarls and how they hunted. I was never scared just fascinated by them.
Lauren used to make up scary stories about them to put a smile on my face. When I was little I'd pretend to be one. Catching people by surprise and scaring them. Or at least trying to.
Back then I was a a runt trying to be an alpha.
