Reader pov

'Ugh, that stupid clock maker. Why is he so mean.' I thought as I was in town. Alice asked me to pick up some tea for him, since she is really busy at the Mansion. She has done nothing but clean there. They didn't even want her to be a maid. But she says it helps her clear her thoughts. I understood and did as she asked. What I don't understand is why she still hangs around Julius. He is constantly rude. I guess she IS the one invading his privacy. I will be quick about delivering this to him then.

Once I reach the clock tower, Julius is still working on the clocks. "Hello Julius. Alice asked me to buy tea for you since you were running low." I say with a smile, but I don't know why though. He lifted his head up to look at me. His face was expressionless as usual. Yet his face turned a light shade of pink. "Thank you (y/n). Set it on the counter." He said. His voice was even kinda quiet as he turned back to his work. I set the bag on the counter and turn to him. "Are you ok Julius? Your face is kind of pink and your quieter than usual." I ask makeing my way over to him with now empty hands.

He looked up from his work once more, but for only to have me place the back of my hand on his head. "You don't seem to be running a fever. Do you want me to go back into town to buy medicine anyway?" I ask. He looked away with a sightly ticked off look. "There is no need. I am fine." I sigh and nod. "I still think you should at least take a nap." I say with slight worry. His eyes widen, but just for a second before regaining his composure. "Ok, it has been a while since I actually slept." He say, still not looking at me directly. These words bring back the smile on my face.

"Do you still need anything while im here?" I ask. Julius looked as if he was about to say something, but just shook his head no. I nod, but for some reason I felt disappointed. 'What is up with me' I thought. "Ok, if you ever need me I will be at the Mansion. Just send Ace or something." I say with a bright smile. He nods and heads to bed. I walk out the clutch my hand on my chest. My heart was racing and I didn't know why. My face felt as if it were on fire and my palms were sweaty. 'Am I just sick?' I ask my self, walking out of the building.

Julius pov

As (y/n) walked out I began to question myself. 'Why did I surrender so quickly? I never did that with anyone.' I thought. I quickly take off my over clothes and climb into bed, letting down my hair. 'I don't know what's happening, but I hope it's not that stupid outsiders' curse.' I think and I let my dreams consume me. When I entered the dream I look up to see Nightmare.

He had a stupid smirk on his face. "I didn't know the clock maker was getting soft." He said in a taunting tone. I growl under my breath, but he'd seem to have heard it. "Oh no, did I struck a nerve?" He smirked wider. I took a deep breath to regain my composure. "I am not going soft by any means. I just thought since I was tired anyway and didn't want a argument, to go to sleep." I said as my eyebrows knit together into a pissed off expression.

"Sure you were." He taunted again. "Maybe I should make a move on them then. I think they will say yes~" he continued. 'Thats it' I thought as I turned around and left. "You can't run from your feelings clock maker~" he taunted one last time. Next thing I knew I was back in bed. I sighed as I sit up and rub the tiredness out of my eyes. 'What does Nightmare know anyway?'

Reader's pov

I had just woke up from my dreamless sleep. I stretched my muscles and yawn. My tired eyes were droopy as rubbed them. I wanted to go back to bed, but there was the sound of knocking at my door. I got out of bed and opened the door to see the twins. "Hey big (B/s) (bro/sis). That stupid Knight is outside and keeps asking for you. We told him to go away but he won't." The twins whine in perfect sync. I laugh a little. "Tell him I will be out in a minute." I say shooing the twins away so I could get dressed.

Once I was I make my way to the gates, only to find the twins and Ace going at each other with their weapons. I sigh slightly annoyed. "Guys can you knock it off." I say in a pissed off tone. This seemed to get the message across them as they stop a few seconds after. "Hey (n/n) (nickname), Julius asked me to find you. Didn't tell me why though." Said Ace like his usual cheery self. I smile and nod as I began to follow the Knight. "Awww but big (B/s)." The twins whine. I ignore them and keep walking.

"Those twins sure like you a lot." Ace teased. I laugh at his words. "They always act like that." I say as my laugh turned into a meer giggle. Ace only let out a small chuckle, but his smile never faultered. Once we finally reached the clock tower, after I tried to keep Ace on the path, we head up to Julius. "Hey Julius." I say as we walk through the door. Ace smiles and greets him too.

"Hello (Y/n). Hello Ace." He greets back, actually looking up from his work. 'He never did that with Alice, or anyone in fact. What happened to him saying go away or leave me alone?' I thought. "Hey Julius, whats going on?" Asked Ace. I was curious about that too, until Ace draped his arms around my shoulders. His face too close to my ear. I froze, and turned to look at Julius to get some answers to what was going on. I could see that Julius looked pissed off, more so then when he gets annoyed. I turn back to Ace to see him wearing a huge smirk on his face.

"I have a break after this last clock, and wanted to see if you two would like to go with me somewhere." He said slowly. "Oh no, I think I can take (y/n) myself." Said Ace. 'What has gotten into him?!?!' I thought as my eyes go wide. I tried to push him off, for only Julius to grab me. "Ace what has gotten into you?" He asked holding me in his arms. I could feel the heat rising in my face. That's when Ace began to laugh. "I was only joking. It was so worth seeing you two like that." Ace only barely got out as he kept laughing.

That's when I could feel Julius tense up around me. I felt furious as my body did the same. "Ace...I am going to kill you." I say slowly, and meniscusingly. Ace seem to shake in fear before running out the door. I was about to chase after him, until I was stopped by Julius pulling me closer. "J-julius?" I stuttered, unsure of what is happening. "(Y/n) just stay like this a little longer, please?" He asked. I was stunned by his words, but obliged. After a little bit he let go. "Julius are you ok?" I ask as I turned to him.

He wouldn't look me in the eye but his face was red as could be. I felt like my heart just skipped a beat. He then grabbed my shoulders and the next thing I knew, his soft lips were on mine. I froze yet again, but he quickly ended it. "(Y/n) I am so sorry I do-" I cut him off by pressing my lips back on his. I don't know why, but I did. He was shocked at first, but quickly kissed back and placing his hands on the back of my neck. Once we broke, are faces were the same shade. "Julius I like you a lot, and well..." I trailed off, hoping he would understand what I was saying.

That's when the rarest thing happened. He smiled and said "I love you too."
