Thanks for waking me up

Dear God thank you for waking me. Thank you for waking me up on days I wish I didn't. And nights I'm scared I won't wake up on the morning.

Lord give me strength to get through today, through the trials and tests. The things I really would rather not do.

Lord give me patience for today. Help me be patient with others as well as myself knowing that I can't stop what you have started.

Lord give me the courage to push on for your glory when I would rather cower and hide. Ashamed of who I am.

Lord grant me acceptance of the things I can't control no matter how hard I try, or how much I desperately want to.

Grant me will to change the things I can even if it seems that the something I'm meant to change is a comfortable thing.

And God, grant me the wisdom and discernment to know the difference.

Let me change the things I can and accept the things I can't. Putting first your glory in the kingdom of heaven and on Earth.

Guide me Lord, Lead me Lord.

To know you more and more with each passing day.
