Praying For Help

"The light shines in the darkness, and the darkness has not overcome it."

Dear Lord,

Times are hard right now, if I'm being honest. Every time I turn on the news it's story after story about war, murder, or people being gunned down. It's a dangerous world and sometimes it's hard to see the good in it.

Please help us see that you are the good in this world. Although we do know that you are the light in the darkness, please remind us of it. We need it more than ever.

People are getting massacred in Sudan. Hundreds are dying. It is a nightmare, and no person in power is doing anything. It's like they're turning a blind eye to it. God, I pray that someone in power will stop this awful act of hate. Most of all, I pray that you will stop it. Please be with these people and stop this massacre. It breaks my heart that people are suffering right now. Please be with them and protect them.
