What does God mean to you?

Is He a chore you wouldn't chose

Or just another person you can use

Or maybe someone you wish you knew

But don't know so you make do

With the grime and girt of your life

Hoping for a moment without strife

And without the fight you fight

Inside your being

Blind for so long

You forgot what it's like seeing

And forgot what's it's like feeling

Anything but pain

Because you thought you wanted more than God

So you hunted to gain

But there is no gain of good with God

When you went against the odds

You only succeeded in bringing sorrow

And now you live wishing for no tomorrow

Because tomorrow means another day spent without love

Without the hope for something better

Because you left better behind

And now you're blind

Stuck in rainy weather

But without rain never comes a rainbow

So I want you to look up and find it

Find that silver lining of beautiful colors

Find the hand reaching out to grasp yours and pull you out of the great abyss

Cling that hand as if it's a lifeline because it is

And try never to let go of that hand

Because the plans of the person's hand you're holding is only for your good

God's plans for you will change you in way sin never could

He won't only complete you but in Him you are a new creation

Cherished, loved and adored by Him and all His nations

Everyday a huge celebration

Because you have finally come home

You are not alone

And never will be again

Even if you feel like His love has come to an end

It never will

Because where we end that's where grace begins
