I pull on my hoodie and leggings slipping on my running shoes, I plug in my music and put it to the loudest blocking out all my surroundings.
Walking down the stairs, slowly enjoying the breeze brush past me, I begin jogging down the road, my hands on either side of me pumping back and forth. My mind begins to wander back, blocking the booming sound of my music, I think way back to how things were, the way everything seemed so perfect and I loved life to the fullest.
I begin fastening my pace.
But everything fell apart just like that, everything was gone, taken away from me, like all the bricks came crashing down upon me all at once, and I chose to run away from everything too afraid to actually face the reality put in front of me.
I met the people who brightened my life, brought me out of the darkness holding my hand tightly, securely, the people who not only helped me face everything but, also protected me with everything they had. The people who helped shape the old hideous me to something presentable.
I begin sprinting faster, entering Taehyungs neighbourhood.
But life as we know it is too cruel and selfish, my nightmare came back hitting me back hard stronger than ever before, and now I can't seem to escape the darkness engrossing me.
I slow down.
I jog.
Then, I walk.
My eyes fixated at the sky, oblivious of my surroundings.
I pull off one earphone, looking around in circles glued to the same spot.
"Jae Eun!" There comes that voice again, the voice I used to adore so much, but he broke everything with his own hands.
"Father," I turn to look at him stiffly, heart thumping in my ears.
"I'm so sorry, I ruined everything again," he paused sniffling "but I swear to you, I didn't mean to, help me, please," tears of regret flowed down his pale pained face.
"What is everything ok, father?" I ask, my voice wavering a little.
"No, nothing is ok, I did it again Jae Eun, it's happening again, I did it again," he chokes out holding his chest, trying to keep the tears from falling. My heart pounds louder than the music in my left ear, I step forward, my legs shaking crazily.
"Father, gets to the point please," I try to remain my calm.
"Your mum," he pauses it was enough for my body to freeze and my eyes to widen." she's. ..she's in...the hospital-" I gasp and step away from him quickly.
"WHAT? DAD, WHY, WHY, I TOLD YOU STOP, WHY?"I cry the tears finally flowing free.
"It wasn't me, it was the alcohol it -" he put his hands out stepping closer to me, I move back harshly signalling him to stop.
"THAT DOESNT EVEN MAKES SENSE, CAN'T YOU JUST OWN UP TO IT?" I cry loudly, my throat tightening. My legs shake as they turn to jelly, my heart slamming against my ribs.
"Which hospital," I say shakingly.
"Jae Eun please-" he reaches out again
"I SAID WHICH HOSPITALS," He flinches back and brings his shaking hand and points to the same direction of the one I went to last time. I sprint away from him ignoring his calls.
Please don't go.
Don't leave me here.
I beg.
I need you.
Please.
Tears stain my cheek, till my eyes becoming dry, no more tears in me to let out.
