CH 13 Fight For Honor

( Third p.o.v )

Everyone did what Wrath had told them each waking up with their own type of guilt. Nico was upset with siding with everyone he always was the odd one out. Thalia was upset with herself for almost wasting Hunters life for nothing. Those boys reminded her of Percy and herself. Annabeth was upset with not remembering that vital piece of information about Wraths fate. Leo was just upset about messing up in the desert. Calypso was the second most upset because she thought Wrath would lose the trust they had. Gunter was upset that they did what they wanted for personal gain. Wrath made breakfast for everyone knowing they had a lot to talk about.

( Wrath's p.o.v )

I waited for everyone to come down. Gunter had slept down here to be with Hunter. He would be up soon but I don't think he would be strong enough to walk yet. I'm sure Gunter is going to carry him and use his bow to protect them. Unless he lets the dogs hold him or Jax. Gods this is gonna be a long morning.

"Good morning Wrath." I turned around to see Calypso. " I'm sorry about yesterday," she whispered. "If fine Calypso everyone gets curious don't worry about it ok." She smiled at me now nodding as she went to grab food to eat. "Father....oh hello Calypso good morning," Gunter said. "Morning Gunter oh I just remembered let me check on Hunter." We watched her leave to check on Hunter real quick. "Will, that be okay with you, father?" I looked at him," Yes my boy she is making sure his wound won't look engorged or anything." He simply nodded as he grabbed some food.

"So what do you have planned son, I'm not gonna take orders from them. So either become the quest leader or I don't see this going well." Gunter turned to me," Father I don't attend on taking their orders no more. I might like Thalia and Nico but clearly, they aren't ready to lead." "Good morning guys," everyone said coming down. "Good morning everyone sit and eat we have much to discuss." Gunter just nodded at everyone as they passed by for food.

Everyone quietly ate their food trying to stall the talk that needs to be done with. "So I decided I'm not gonna help unless my boys are made the leaders." "Why would we give them leadership we have more experience," said Annabeth. "How about because they'll do the right things for starters. Also, they know this place better than you as well." "I'm fine with it," whispered Thalia. Everyone looked at her shocked. "But Thals your our leader," said Nico. "No that's where you're wrong. She's a second in command she doesn't lead. She takes orders and gets things done. Its a great thing but y'all need a leader," I firmly stated.

"How would you know anything about us," Nico shot back. "I've been around for ages. I know what y'all have done. I know you and Thalia are seconds in command. I also know that Leo is just a follower and Annabeth is just looking for fame," I shot back. Everyone looked offended at what I said and we're gonna speak up. "He's right though guys. It hasn't been the same since Percy was sent down here. We might be strong but we aren't leaders were commanders meant to by Percy's side when he leads us into battle like always. Right now we're just playing the part," cried Thalia. Annabeth and Leo looked annoyed at what she was crying for.

"Look how about we just have a spar for leader those who want to try," I said. Thalia wiped her eyes clean, "Sounds good to me." The rest nodded at me agreeing as well. "Who do I have to fight?" asked Gunter. Of course, Annabeth and Leo stood up looking at him. "Alright, let's settle this outside. Calypso will you watch my son please." Everyone went outside as Calypso nodded and went to go attend on Hunter.

( Gunter's p.o.v )

I was waiting outside for Father to set up the rules for this fight.
He walked up to Leo and I as got to stretching. "Alright try and be quick my boy I want to get going soon it's still early," said Father. "Alright pops I'll make it quick. I want to get going soon too."

"Alright powers are allowed. No killing of course. First to be k.o or tap even give up loses. On my word." I brought out my sword and shield that I use for battle. Leo had his hammer ready to go as well. "FIGHT!" Father had shouted. Leo tries to use his fire, he threw two huge fireballs at me. I quickly dodged using my Dads super speed stopping behind him. He looked confused as the fire went out and I wasn't there.

"Nice try but you should really find time to practice." Leo turned around quickly to find my shield coming straight to his face. It connected hard breaking his nose on contact, his golden blood decorated my shield as fell limp to the ground. I looked up at Annabeth, " Hope you're as good as your stories make you sound." She looked angry that I took out her boyfriend," No one has beaten me but those two. I looked at Nico and Thalia who looked impressed. "Well, I'm about to be number three."

She came up to me after father moved Leo. "I'm Athena's smartest daughter that move won't fool me," she said while bringing out her dagger. "That's not what I've heard," I chuckled. She grunted at me waiting for Father to start this fight. "My boy punish her. Show the price of her Fatal Flaw. FIGHT!"

We circled each other reading each other's stances looking for a weakness. I used my speed to attack I knew it wouldn't hit but we need to start. We fought back and forth looking for an opening when I remembered what father said. I slowly let my eyes change to the dark yellow. I let the borrowed power of Pride flow through me. She looked taken back for a minute before studying me once more.

"It must suck being the dumbest daughter of Athena. Or maybe even worse that Shiba rather not even be named after you and look at you like dirt." Annabeth grunted at me at first not doing a thing. "I bet it must also suck that your new boyfriend will never match up to your ex." She was turning red at this point. I decided to take it a bit further," I bet Percy played dumb just to make you feel better and that's why when he winged it....it always worked better than your well thought up plans." Her pride took the best of her and she wildly came at me.

She was so mad she left herself wide open. I felt power surge through my muscles as I took a swing at her to knock her over. I tossed down my sword as she got back up. "You should have kept that," she said angrily. "I won't need it to put you in your place." I used my shield as my father taught me he was a Captain America fan. My shield was made like the captains with Wraths symbol on it instead. I threw it at her and hitting her in the guts I caught it as I went in for a punch to the face. She spits of blood from her busted lip as she looked at me.

I put my shield down and summoned more strength to my body. "Let's end this." She rushed me as was going to strike me from above. I grabbed her wrist before she could stop her attack. I gripped her wrist hard and the look on her face was priceless. She looked scared and helpless as I took her dagger from her hands tossing it. "Time to join your boyfriend." I brought my fist back and swung hard at her left eye. She went limp as I held her up by her wrist.

"Good my boy. Now please rest and put her down. We must plan with the others," he said. I nodded and let my power leave and my eyes turned normal. "Some nectar and tea should do good Father." He nodded picking up the two knocked out gods to take inside. I turned to Nico and Thalia, "Let's go inside so we can plan." They nodded at me and walked behind me after I picked up my things. "Let's make a plan quick I want to get moving."
