The sound of chairs screeching startled you from your daydream

The sound of chairs screeching startled you from your daydream. You looked around in confusion as students rose from their seats and headed towards the door.

"Let's go eat (Name)-chan!" Uraraka smiled cheerfully, as she stood by the side of your desk. You visibly jumped as her palm landed in front of you.

"Sure. Sorry I was spacing out again." You scratched the back of your neck and followed her lead as she headed to the door.

Unfortunately for your growling stomachs, a large crowd was blocking the classroom exit. You didn't recognize any of the faces, so you assumed they were from the general studies classes.

"Scoping out the competition? If anything, I'm thinking more along the lines of wanting to pull the rug out from under your heroic kid asses. Consider it a declaration of war." A purple-haired male said, condescendingly, from the front of the crowd.

"Wait! Don't fight with them man, we don't want all the other classes targeting us." A boy with spikey red hair pleaded.

He was one of your classmates, and while you couldn't figure out his name, you remembered his unique quirk that made his skin as hard as steel.

"It doesn't matter. None of that shit matters if you're on top." A gruff voice spoke also from the same area. You immediately recognized the voice as the subject of your endearment. Katsuki Bakugou, the top student of class 1-A.

The same boy who captured your attention at the entrance exam, and got scolded for being reckless during the battle trial. Yet it was that same recklessness that helped save All Might from being killed at USJ yesterday.

Something about his fixation on winning and unapologetic boldness drew you in. It was unrefined and aggressive, but he was clever and strategic, which was elegant in its own way.

He was like the human embodiment of a lion, a blazing fire that was eye-catching but out of reach. And like a moth to a flame, you foolishly yearned to feel that heat.

Or at least that's what you wanted to think. You couldn't exactly pinpoint what made you gravitate to him.

He could just be an interesting face in an ocean of wannabe heroes, or maybe it was because you saw qualities in him you wished you had.

"...ey! Hey (Name)-chan!" Uraraka snapped you out of your trance with a wave of her hand, before grabbing your wrist again. "The path's cleared! Let's go to the cafeteria!"

After pushing open the large double doors to the eatery, you spotted Midoriya and Iida at one of the tables. "Ochako-san, they're over there." You gained her attention, motioning to the two boys.
