"Class 1-A's bus is here! Promptly line up in alphanumerical order, and prepare to board!" Came the stern voice of your class president.
Despite his qualms, most students continued to talk and walk toward the entrance in a disorderly fashion. You were standing beside Uraraka as she and Izuku talked excitedly about the trip.
You assumed they would sit together, so you were left with an intimidating decision. There were only two students who would deliberately choose to sit by themselves, and therefore have an empty spot available. But which risk were you willing to take?
Your last encounter with Shouto resulted in him arguing with Katsuki and dragging you away. However, it understandable why he was angry. Didn't you have any self-awareness? Why did you act the way you did, so irresponsibly, just to chase the high that it gave you? But you were glad you had that discussion nonetheless.
Not to mention the text that had been sent through your phone yesterday. Surely, Shouto would be infuriated with you. What better way to get under his skin then to completely disregard every issue he addressed? Even worse, letting him know exactly who you were with yesterday when that person sent him a text out of your phone. But wouldn't that be all the more reason to go talk to him?
At that moment, your limbs conveniently throbbed, mocking you for making sinful choices again and again. After that display in the mountains yesterday, you weren't sure if you wanted Shouto, especially when you knew the blond's feelings.
Deep down, you truly felt for both of them, but one feeling was still stronger than the other, and you knew that. You knew it was wrong of you to keep doing this. But then the whole discussion you had with Shouto about not dropping everything for Katsuki, would've been pointless-
"Hey, (Name). Would you like to sit together?" A warm hand landed on your shoulder, snapping you out of your thoughts.
You visibly jolted, wondering why Shouto seemed to startle you every time he appeared. "..yeah, sure!" You answered after a moment. Why had you been making such a big deal out of it? You could've just let fate decide on its own from the start, like it always does.
The two of you scooted toward the back of the bus, shuffling your feet quickly as the driver announced he would be leaving soon.
Katsuki was seated near the middle, where most of the students seemed to be having a discussion. Beside him was that purple-haired girl with the hearing quirk, whom you had yet to converse with as well. You sent a weak smile as you locked eyes with him. His face from yesterday was still fresh in your memory.
Shouto took your duffel bag by the strap on your shoulder, hoisting it up into the storage unit above. You sent a grin and silent thank you his way, which he received with warm eyes. A look which you had found comfort in more and more recently.
