You could still hear the sounds from the fight that took place earlier. The grunts of pain released by the three boys as they withstood cuts and stabs from the villain. The gruff voice who made cold statements about heroes being the 'cancer' of society, and the hopeful lines that the boys would yell back.
Then you remembered the look of relief on your face as Gran Torino made his appearance, and the boys descended the alley with the unconscious killer in hand. It was short-lived, however, as a flying Nomu dipped towards your group and snatched Izuku off his feet. It all happened so quickly, your brain wasn't even able to process it before you were yelling the boy's name.
Shouto and Gran Torino lurched forward to save the boy, but the first one to reach him was, shockingly, Stain himself. Suddenly gaining consciousness again, he bolted after them and cut down the creature with his katana.
As he caught Izuku from a deathly fall, he said a final speech about true heroism and pretenders of society before finally fainting. His words caught all of you off guard, including Endeavour and his sidekicks who had shown up at some point, in a terrifying way.
The sound of a beeping heart monitor woke you up from your slumber, which was mostly you just drifting in and out of sleep for the last few hours.
Looking to the left, your eyes landed on a mass of green fluff, with freckles and a pointed nose to match. Then just past Izuku's bed, lied Iida who looked to be in worse condition then both of you combined.
You were worried about him; about his mental state, and how bad it must've been for him to make such an irrational decision. It was so uncharacteristic of your class president.
The bed let out a squeak as you attempted to sit up, only to flop back down. You winced as the IV in your forearm shifted from the movement, irritating the soft surface.
The sliding door opened softly, and your eyes snapped toward the intruder. You relaxed once you realized it was just the nurse. When had you become so paranoid?
"Oh, you're awake (Lastname)-san. How are you feeling? You fainted from overusing your quirk." The young woman said gently. She had lilac hair and prominent dimples.
You opened your mouth but closed it after realizing you couldn't speak. Your throat felt like it was turning in on itself from the lack of moisture.
The nurse let out a breathy laugh as she realized the problem, offering a paper cup filled with water. You chugged the glass down impatiently, feeling relief as the liquid flowed down the dry patches in your esophagus.
"Thanks, I haven't drank anything since this morning. Otherwise, I'm feeling fine, just a little sore." You informed the nurse, giving her the cup to dispose of.
