I sat at on the ground, deep in thought.

I was on break from digging and so I sat peacefully, in silence.

What had happened last night? I was completely at a loss with Colin. Did he like me? I felt like the signs were practically screaming at me, but I wasn't positive.

Us Plutonians aren't very sentimental, so I had no one to talk to about it.

While I pondered, someone came from behind me. It was Colin. He sat next to me. I didn't look at him while I said, "So, when are you going back home? "

He smiled. "Oh, you want me gone already?"

Turning towards him I added, " Oh no! That's not what I meant! I mean, I want you to stay! If you want. I don't know... "

He just laughed softly. "I'd love to stay." Then he added, "with you."

I smiled as sweetly as could.

We continued to sit peacefully. A sudden cold gust of air hit me hard. I didn't have to ask this time; Colin draped his jacket not only around mine but both of our shoulders.

I'm sure--yes, my heart confirmed it--we were in love.

Our relationship only grew.

Seeing him, even for a second, made my heart leap for joy. And he confessed similar feelings towards me.

As often as we could, we would dig holes together, talking all the while.

I asked about Neptune. I had never travelled, so any information was completely new and exciting.

"There's not much to it. A simple place with simple beings. The castle has hundreds of rooms. You'd like it there."

"I bet I would," I agreed, pausing to look at Colin's charming faces.

Several days later, we were engaged.

Everything was happening so fast, and I loved it! But, unfortunately, my parents did not.

"Getting married? Ha! Funny joke!" my mother said sharply.

I rolled several eyes.

"Yes, Mom. We love each other."

My dad "tsk tsked".

 "Who actually loves their spouse?"

"Darling," Mom put four hands on one of my shoulders. "I don't know what it's like where your mysterious prince charming comes from, but here, we're not all 'lovey-dovey'."

"At all!" my father had to add. "We tried to teach you that by ignoring you your whole life."

 "Yeah. I noticed," I mumbled.

"We want you to marry a Plutonian we know, not a random Neptunian you just found! I don't like or approve of this!" And with that, my mom turned and left.

I looked to my dad as pitifully as I could. Obviously, he had completely lost interested.

That night, I came to Colin's outstretched arms. "So?" he asked. I looked him in the eyes. "We are getting married!" And with that, we left and wed.

We moved to the other side of Pluto so we could stay away from my parents.

We had been married for a year before I announced my pregnancy. Seeing Colin's face light up as I told him was the best feeling in the world.

William was the sweetest baby, dimples and all. He never frowned once for two weeks after his birth. Colin absolutely spoiled that boy, giving him sweets and Carylin-back rides. Every day when he came home he would sweep both me and Will off our feet and exclaim,

"How's my little Willie and his mommy?" and kiss us both.

Finally, I had a loving happy family. I could never ask for anything more than my darling Colin and precious William.
