Chapter Nine

Hunter's P.O.V:

  I'm so mad at myself. I can't fucking believe the earliest flight was a day before my own FATHER's funeral, I have to wait till tomorrow to be able to hug my baby sister. I should've never left.

  God I'm so stupid, I should've stayed with her. She called me every night and I could see how broken she was, how sad and lonely no matter how many friends.

  She needed me and I wasn't there.. I'm such a bad brother. I will forever regret this. But for now all I want to do is hug my little sister and never let go.

  I'm staying for Christmas. I promise Ari, I won't leave you alone on Christmas. I'm spending my break right by your side.

  Apparently, even Cameron, - Camila's older adopted brother, he's a year older than me but when our sisters introduced us to each other we became really close friends. - And Summer, - who's Skylar's 20 year old sister, her and I were simply good friends but it was obvious she had a thing for Cam back in High School, - are both gonna take their winter break early and attend the funeral. If I'm correct they attend the same college.

  I work on my essay before packing my bags, my phone signals a new message, I hope it's the travel agency telling me they found me a spot on an earlier flight.

  *New message from HollyBee*

Holly- Hey Hunter! Just wanted to check in on how you're doing! When do you come home?

me- Hey Bee, I'll be home the day before the funeral, I'm okay i guess, too many essays to bring home for the break though wbu?

Holly- Awh that sux, good luck! Nothing much has been going on. Dylan and Ariana are just the cutest! But Hayden seems to have stolen your job from you XD He's been acting weird.

me- I see! I'm so sorry H I need to cut this short, talk soon ly.

  I smile at Holly and I's nicknames we're H&H2 even tho her brother's name starts with an H but he has his own thing with Ari. Holly is such a sweet girl, she's smart and i'm not even going to lie she's gorgeous.

  You can see little golden-hazel-ish stars sparkling in her mind-blowing grey eyes.

  Focus Hunter. Ariana's what matters now.

  I try an contact the travel agency to find me a spot on any earlier flight to Louisiana. The only one I could find was a couple hours earlier than the other. This sucks, but it's still better than nothing.

  I try to call Ariana, and when she doesn't pick up, I remember she told me she was gonna work some more on her Winter Formal Dress.

I'm so proud of how far she's come, even with the difficult situations she'd been put through ever since we were little.

  She's working on becoming a stylist, maybe later she'll become a super famous designer, who knows.

  She has the skills, the creativity and all the qualities required for the job, and I wouldn't doubt it if she did get to the top in the blink of an eye, after all she deserves the world.

  Sigh- I stand there on my little balcony staring at the stars, hoping that somehow, miraculously, I'd get a call telling me I can get an earlier flight.

   I text Ariana goodnight and call mom to see what she plans on doing with Ariana. Before doing that, I get an email notification on my laptop.

I rush over to open it : "Dear Mr. Diaz -  blah blah blah... - We have booked you a flight for tomorrow night at 10 P.M. , we hope this is okay. We're sincerely sorry for the past inconveniences. Please do reply to this e-mail to claim your ticket. Thank You, have a safe  flight."

  Holy shit. I have never believed in fate, or karma, or shooting stars before, but I might just start. I'm pretty sure the stars heard me. I have never been so relieved in my life!

  I decide to keep it a surprise for Ariana. As for mom I'll personally handle business things with her when I get the chance to.

  I hurriedly pack up some things, and a small suitcase. I won't need too much, since eI kept some of my belongings at home.

  I'm coming home Ari, less than 24 hours left.

Extremely short chapter ): I'm really sorry, I've been going through major writers block, trying to organize my story as to have longer chapter and a larger amount of those. Anyway, how's we like Hunter's Point Of Vue? Honestly he's the older brother I never had lmAo.  I'll be writing his and Holly's past story in a book alone, it will only be a couple of chapters but it will help you guys understand how they got close. The release date isn't specified yet, but i'll post it in one of my next chapters. (:
