Hayden's P.O.V:

What have I done? Not only have I ruined any chance to be with Ariana, but I hooked up, well almost slept with her sworn enemy. At that moment I didn't care, I left Sierra and pushed past Camila, listening to her name-calling and cursing Sierra. I ran down the stairs but I was too late.

  She's gone.

  With him.

  Because of me...

It's been days, maybe a week since I last heard of Ariana. I know she's ignoring me, and I get that she hates Sierra, but didn't she overreact just a tad bit?

I'm overthinking this, there's no way she'll have feelings for me, she's with Dylan. I won't even bother trying to get my hopes up.

I call Skylar, she surely knows how Ariana's doing.

'Hey Sky, how are you?' I ask hesitantly.

"What's up Hayden? I'm alright." She replies in a dry tone. Great.

'Umm.. I just, I stutter losing all ways of forming a correct sentence, I wanted to know how Ari's doing, I haven't heard from her in days.'

Skylar sighs and whispers something inaudible to someone, "Look Hayden, If you really want to know why don't you call her?"

I wanted to but.. 'Sky you and I both know she won't pick up.'

"So you don't even try going to see her?"

Now it's my turn to sigh. 'I need to call you more often to set me straight, Thanks Sky.'

"Anytime, Good luck." And she hangs up, leaving me thinking.

  Call or visit?

I'll try calling her first, and if she doesn't pick up I'll go see her.

......Hey there! You've reached Ariana's voicemail, I'll call you back later, please leave a message at the beep!! beeeeeppp.....

"Hey Ari. I miss you I'm sorry please call me back as soon as you can." I record into her voicemail, man.. how can someone fuck up this badly?

Visit it is. I rush down the street and stand in front of her door. What if she slams it in my face?

Ariana's P.O.V:

"Mom you CANNOT decide on your own without talking to us, the fate of this house and Ariana. This is not a choice you're allowed to make!" I watch as my brother waves his hands furiously at our mother whilst she rests one hand on the kitchen counter and the other on her forehead, proving her annoyance.

I decide to interfere in the conversation, "I hope you know that you just took a choice away from Hunter and I, and that makes you even worse of a mother than you already are."

She gasps at my harsh words then Hunter stands next to me laying a hand on my shoulder, showing that he's on my side, and that he's got my back. No matter what. He always has. Never once has he let me down.

"Ariana I am your mother and you'll do as I say, and you Hunter, go back to college you have nothing left to do here." She spits back glaring at both of us.

"Excuse me, but you don't have the right to give me orders anymore and you sure as hell are not welcome for Christmas in this house, which is by the way, put under my name. You really think dad will give you that kind of authority after what you've done to this family? He had me sign the paperwork the day I turned eighteen. Stop making us sound like we're the bad people here, MOTHER, you're the disgrace here, not us."

Both my mom and I's eyes widen at Hunter's temper. "We are not done here," She replies back "I'll be back in a couple of days to discuss this matter once and for all." She turns her back and walks out the door.

For a second I could've sworn I saw Hayden's face outside the door but I'm probably just imagining things with everything going on.

"Hey Ari, isn't that Hayden sitting on the sidewalk?" I walk towards the window next to Hunter and nod at him.

"Are you guys alright?" He raises an eyebrow and sends a questioning look my way. I nod again, not knowing what to answer him.

"Anyway I have to go, I'll be back in a couple hours." I grab my purse and unplug my phone from it's charger.

"Where are you going?" Hunter asks while tapping through his phone. "I'm meeting with Jake, we have things we need to talk about."

Hunter clenches his jaw and looks me dead in the eye, "You're lucky I just gave mom a whole speech about letting you make your own choices. Otherwise I wouldn't have let you meet up with that - that son of a- let's keep it clean."

I giggle at my brother's attempt to being protective. "Hunter what I actually need to tell him concerns us as well. Sit down."

He takes a seat on the kitchen stool and gives me a serious look. I fill him in on the information I have about Jake being our step-brother. His expression goes blank, so I just make my way out the door and away to Starbucks where a depressed looking Jake sits alone, hood covering his features.

"Hey Jake.. I'm sorry, this just couldn't wait." I say as I take a seat to face him... He sits up, his gaze moves over to stare right into my eyes. Normally I'd be able to read him but this time, he's just.. empty. and Gosh do I feel horrible for having to make things worse for him, I mean telling someone you dated your step-sister without knowing is not exactly a pleasant thing to do on both sides, the messenger and the recipient.
