Rays p.o.v

Shadows and pure darkness surrounded me. My bed was very uncomfortable as Carol forgot to do her daily spring cleaning. *shh oft fttssh* I groaned at the mystery noises. Why can't I just have a good nights sleep? I snuggled into Ricks bare chest as he was sleeping. *shft fssht fttssh* What was that stupid noise? I groaned and moaned in annoyance. Rick immediately woke up and examined my invisible face. He placed a hand around my cheek. "So, the sleeping pills didn't work?" He asked as he slightly giggled. *shhh fttssh fshht* I felt something crumble onto my pale skin. "No, Rick can't you hear that?" I asked in an almost whisper. Everything was silent except our quiet breaths, as we tried to listen to the annoying sounds. "No, why what -" Rick was interrupted by the sound again. *shhh fshht fssshhtt* I leaped out of bed and flipped the light switch on. It reflected a very dim light, but bright enough to see. I wondered around the room. "Ray, I bet it's nothing. Just get some sleep." Rick exclaimed in his husky voice. My eyebrows knitted together as I saw a hole in the ceiling. "Rick look." I pointed to the deep hole. Dust fell. Rick bite his lip as he swirled his finger in the dusty hole. *shhh fshht shhhtt* Dusty crumbles fell from another part of the ceiling. More holes were visible. "What's going on?" I asked in an almost gasp. All of a sudden, a huge part of the ceiling collapsed onto the floor and the door broke into splinters of wood. Rick grabbed a shirt and gripped onto my elbow as he pulled me out of the ruined room. The corridor was the same. What the hell was happening? Lights reflected from the shattered cell blocks and our survival crew reappeared with panicked expressions on their faces. "What's going on?!" Carol asked in pure panic. "We need to get out." Daryl grunted as he swung his crossbow over his shoulders. We swiftly agreed and headed for the fences. I gasped in horror. Tanks, bombs, large lorries and a bunch of bulky survivalists laid infront of our eyes. A tall figure stepped out of a car with a machine gun in his hands. Daryls eyes enlarged by 20%. "Merle?!" Daryl gasped in terror. Merle strolled to the gates and he was about four metres away from us. "That's right baby brother." He replied in his crooked voice. "What? What do you want?!" Rick yelled in anger. Everything was silent for a few moments. "We want your prison." Merle blandly explained as he examined our safe home. "No!" Carol yelled at the top of her voice. "Well, what are you going to do about it old lady?" Merle questioned in his old tone. Carol was silent and Merle nodded his head in proudness. "We want it! Get out of here before I blow your girlfriends brain out!!" Merle screamed at Rick as he aimed the machine gun at my head. Ricks eyes enlarged. "Merle! Get out of here!!" Daryl yelled in an angry voice as he ran up to him. His hands clenched onto his shirt behind the wired fences. Merle did nothing but spit on him and Daryl stepped back to wipe the drool off his face. "Your choice Rick!" Merle yelled. A line of tears were visible in Ricks eyes as I closed my eyes in fear. "We... We let go of all of it! Come through those gates and you become one of us." Daryl explained as he pointed to the gates. "Now baby brother. You and I both know that we can't live under the same roof. My group won't feel safe knowing that your in the same building." Merle exclaimed in an almost whisper. "You can take Cell Block D and we take Cell Block A." Rick suggested. The wind whistled through the blue sky. "Not good enough." Merle blandly responded in a calm tone. "Her or the prison." Merle pointed to me with his right hand as he stared at Rick. He was putting Rick under pressure. If he gave the prison away, none of us will be safe. If he gave me away... I suppose it wouldn't mater. Im just a burden on the group anyway. The whole prison survival group was silent with their hands by their sides. "Boys. You know what you have to do." Merle exclaimed as he didn't take his eyes off of Rick. A small group of bulky men, opened the gate doors and marched towards me. Terror built up in my veins. My blood pulsed through my system like a train on a track. I had to think. The only thing I could do was run. I ran and ran and ran towards the broken prison. "RAY!" Rick yelled in horror. I immediately hide behind a broken wall and heavy breaths escaped my throat. Everything was silent and I sort of relaxed. I slide down the wall and gently closed my eyes. Maybe they didn't find me. I was safe. All of a sudden, a muscular hand gripped on my collar and a bulky man lead me down the grass towards my group. I felt like a dog on a lead. "You chose right." Merle exclaimed in a cool tone. "LET HER GO!" Daryl yelled in pure anger. Everyone ignored him and the man lead me to Merles group. Tears rolled down my groups faces and I gently closed my eyes. "Come on girl." Merle whispered in my ear. He painfully dragged me towards the back of a truck. The tank and lorries doors shut and the engine roared to life. Tears streamed down my face as I looked at Rick, who was very emotional. The truck slowly drove down the grass. "I WILL FIND YOU RAY! IF IT TAKES ME A THOUSAND YEARS... I WILL FIND YOU!" Rick screamed to me. He collapsed on the grass in complete tears and the night sky fell on us.
