Rays p.o.v

I sighed as I started to pick on the piece of bread that was laying on my plate. Rick sat opposite me with Hershel and Daryl either side of me. I glanced at Rick who wouldn't even make eye contact with me. It annoyed me. The pit of my stomach started to flip over. All I wanted was Rick to come back to me. I bite my lip as hard as I could before I irritatingly stood up with the chair clashing to the ground. I had enough of being lonely. There was people in the prison but I felt like they were avoiding me. I felt isolated.

My feet dragged behind me as I headed outside of the prison grounds.

"I might as well be lonely by myself."

The river water swirled infront of me in small, rapid wave movements. The smell of stale water rose to my nostrils. A few koi fish swum beneath the soft surface.

All of a sudden a walker grabbed my shoulder and started to snap its teeth together. I screamed in terror as I couldn't twist my body around. My fingers gripped around the leather of my throwing knife before I stabbed it in the leg. It collapsed to the ground in pain and rose its arms at the smell of my warm body. Before thinking, I stabbed it in the skull. Blood sprayed over my crop top before guts and liver slowly plopped to the mossy, damp grass.

"Lonely." I muttered before heading back to the old prison.

My eyes widened in shock as I felt the ring of painful and angry screams travel down my eardrums. I jogged closer towards the spine tingling yelling.

I expected someone being eaten alive by a walker, but in fact, I saw Daryl being shoved to the ground by Rick.

"Stop!" I yelled as I raced closer to them. Rick was pushing in Daryls neck who was spitting out blood from his mouth. Black and blue patches covered both of the two men. "Rick! Stop!!" I yelled again. He probably didn't even hear me under the sound of punching and swearing. "YOU SICK BASTARD!" Rick swore as he pushed harder onto Daryls neck. "HOW DARE YOU TAKE HER AWAY FROM ME!!" He was struggling to breathe. "SHES MINE." If Rick uses any more strength, Daryl could easily die. "RICK!!" I yelled at the top of my lungs. He didn't even turn around. Daryl was dribbling all over the ground and kicking his legs in defeat. My eyes darted around for something. Anything that would make them stop. I just decided to push their bodies apart from each other. I used all my power to lift off their bodies from each other. I squealed and gritted my teeth together.

I finally managed to push Rick off. Blood pulsed out from his nostrils. Daryl decided to slowly jump up on his feet before strong away in complete anger. "Rick.... Why did you do that?" I asked in a soothing voice. He just stared at me with bloodshot eyes and his brown locks swaying in front of his forehead. I reached my hand out for him. "Come on... Let me get you cleaned up." I quietly whispered. Rick shoved away from my soft grip in a sudden. "Rick...." He started to shyly frown. "No! Get away from me!" He screamed in panic before hobbling away with his clothes dangling from his arms.

Drinking flushes of water I relaxed on my cold bed. The metal creaked at every movement I took. Maybe he will forget about it tomorrow. Maybe he just wanted to let out all his feelings. Rick will be fine. I sighed before I felt warm tears trickle down my cheeks.

*knock knock* My head jerked up at the gentle sound. Rick was leaning against the door with his hand wrapped up in a clean bandage. He had a small stitch in the corner of his forehead. "Hey." He gently greeted as he stepped closer towards me. My lips pursed together as I swiftly wiped my damp face. "How long have you been here?" He asked in his southern accent. I looked at him in a sturdy expression. "Long enough." I muttered. He sat down on the bed next to me. Not as close as usual. "Sorry." He blandly apologised through his accent. I looked at him in confusion. "Why?" I asked. He scraped his mane of chocolate hair back before replying. "For being an arse. For not trusting you. For being angry at you." My eyebrows knitted together. "At least you didn't cheat on me." I grunted through clenched teeth. He sighed before answering. "Sometimes I'm not there when I need to be."

He kissed my forehead before walking out. Did he trust me now?

A thought ran through my head like a train on a track. The image of rocks and water swirled in my mind. Bubbles lifting from the surface.

Maybe it wasn't such a bad idea...
