I walked with Avery to the cafeteria and people stared at us. They know that normally I wouldn't eat lunch or even come into the cafeteria so it's a shock to them.

Leading Avery to an empty table I went back to get us some lunch. I picked up some fries and fruit and two bottles of water. After paying for them I walked back over to the table I had left Avery at only to discover she wasn't alone anymore.

Sighing in annoyance when I saw who it was, I placed the tray with our food in front of Avery before leaning down to kiss the top of her head and glaring at the annoying boy who had straightened up as soon as I had reached the table.

"Everything alright?" I asked Avery when I finally looked away from the boy.

" Yeah, Dean was just saying hi." She said and I nodded and opened one of the water bottles to take a drink.

"Actually I was asking Avery if she wanted to go out on another date with me, it would be our third." He said smirking down at me as my hand clenched around my water bottle.

"And like I told you Dean, I can't. I'm with Mason." Avery said as she leaned over into me and I smiled before glaring at Dean to go away.

His mouth turned down into a frown as he looked between the two of us.

"You'd rather go out with a mob boss than me?!" He shouted and the cafeteria went quiet at his words.

"Do you know what she does for a living?!" He continued to shout and I placed my water bottle carefully down on the table and moved to stand but Avery placed a hand on my thigh stopping me.

"I think you should leave Dean." Avery said gently and he sneered at her.

"Why so can be alone with a drug dealer and murderer?" He asked snidely and I almost punched him right there but Avery's hand on my thigh squeezed it slightly and I frowned but stayed in my seat.

"Please leave." She said again and he turned his glare on me and I met his gaze head on until he looked away.

"Yeah whatever, you weren't nothing but a piece of ass anyway." He said and I felt Avery flinch against me and he turned to walk away.

"Dean!" I shouted at his back and he paused to turn and look at me along with the rest of the room as I looked into his eyes and let mine go dead as I spoke.

"I'll be seeing you later." I said and watched as he paled and out of the corner of my eye I saw a few people in the room shiver from the sound of my voice.

Dean turned around and continued to walk out the room and I could tell it was taking everything he had to not run.

Looking away from his retreating figure to look back at Avery who was staring up at me with a smile on her face I leaned down and gave her a soft kiss before we went back to eating our food and the other people in the room returned to their own.

Like I had the other day I walked Avery to all of her classes. People were whispering as we walked passed and I could see a few people glaring at Avery but as soon as I looked at them they turned away.

I didn't like the looks she was receiving and knew that I would have to deal with it soon.

By the end of the day anyone who didn't know that Avery and I were together knew and eyes continued to follow us as I led Avery to my car.

The events from last night were in the corner of my mind, so I wasn't really suprised when I saw the two uniformed officers waiting for me by my car.

They pushed off from it as soon as Avery and I got close enough. Already there was a crowd of people watching and I put on my business face.

"Ms. Castellanos, if you wouldn't mind accompanying us to the station. We have a few questions to ask you about the incident last night and a few other incidents."
