Of course we won the swim meet. Avery swam beautifully and I constantly found myself entranced by the way she moved.

At one point I was angry when I saw I wasn't the only one watching her but quickly got over it when Avery climbed out of the pool and kissed me. I could just imagine the disappointment on a lot of people's faces when they realised she was taken.

The last race was a relay and our team won the race with me swimming last and we all quickly dressed before we changed back into our sweats and I threw my arm over Avery's shoulder as we walked out of the locker room and she wrapped her arm around my waist as I carried our bags in my free hand.

As soon as we walked out the front doors of the building a guy was there smirking down at Avery. The way he was looking at her made me want to pluck his eyes out but I refrained.

"Hi, I'm Adam." He said to her and ran his hand through his dark hair, completely ignoring my presence.

"Hi Adam, I'm Avery and this is my girlfriend Mason." Avery said and the Adam guy finally looked away from staring at her breast to look at me and I watched his eyes light up even more.

"Girlfriend huh? Nice." He said and I frowned at the way he had said it.

His eyes kept shifting between the two of us until they finally settled on Avery again and he leaned closer towards her and I unconsciously moved her back a little and stepped forward.

"So Avery and Mason, would you two like to go out and me and my friends?" He said indicating the group of guys I had seen waiting at the bottom of the steps as they looked up at us.

"No." I said and he looked at me.

"Okay then Mason." He said my name mockingly and felt Avery squeeze my side.

"What about you Avery, would you like to join me?" He asked completely dismissing me.

"I said no." I said in a dark voice and he looked back at me with a sneer on his face that quickly disappeared when he looked back at Avery.

"I'm sure Avery can answer for herself. I'm also pretty sure she would like to hang out with me." He said and I took a step closer to him but Avery pulled me back.

"No thank you Adam, Mason and I have other things planned for the evening but thanks for the invitation." She told him and with each word the smile on his stupid face dropped until he was straight out frowning at us.

Behind him I noticed how his friends had moved closer to us, probably to find out what was taking him so long and the closer they got to us the more I moved in front of Avery.

"Adam man let's go, bring the chicks along and let's hit up the party." One of his friends said as he came to stand on the side of Adam and looked me And Avery up and down.

"Whoa, hey ladies, I'm Chase. Has my idiot friend here been giving you two any trouble?" He asked patting Adam's face a little harder than necessary.

"Ass, what are you doing? I've got this." Adam said while glaring at his friend and them two soon started going back forth with each other and I took that time to take Avery's hand and lead her around the two idiots by her hand.

We were walking down the steps when I felt Avery stop behind me and I turned to look at her in question when I saw that Adam had a grip on her arm and was keeping her from moving.

"I wasn't finished talking to you yet, it's rude to leave a conversation unfinished." He said smiling down at Avery and I released the hand I was holding and stalked back up the steps.

"You're hot and all, but you're attitude sucks, why don't you leave your girlfriend with me and I'll show her a good time." He smirked and I smiled back before punching him in the face.

His hand released her as he reached up to hold his now bloody nose and I took Avery's hand and led her down the stairs to the bus making sure she got in before me and I ignored the stares I felt on my back.

When we got in our seat the coach looked at me and just shook her head before the driver closed the doors and I wrapped my arm around Avery's shoulder and she smuggled into me.

"That was really hot Mason." Avery finally said once we were on our way.

"What? Me punching that guy?" I asked and looked down at her as she nodded her head.

"Well stick with me beautiful and I'll punch as many guys as you want." I told her making her giggle, her probably not knowing how serious I was.
