Luke.

Only three days until Christmas and I still don't have a clue as to what I should get October, and I started to panic. Should I even get her something? Fuck, Luke, of course you should.

But what?

The only part I was dreading most about this is going to the actual store to get her a present. I wanted to ask her, but that would be fucking stupid since it would just ruin the surprise, so I called Michael, and now here we were, the four of us boys gathered in my apartment, after Michael called in 'sick' and had to leave October alone to work her shift, something about "karma" and for "weakly defending his pneumonia accident". I didn't even want to know.

"I have no idea what to get her, guys," I groaned, resting both my elbows on my knees and putting my head in my hands. "I'm like, the worst boyfriend ever."

"Easy, just get her nothing. She'll be so pleased. Either that, or birthday sex. Just not your birthday." Michael stated nonchalantly, earning a smack in the back of the head from Calum and I almost choke on air. Is this what October had to deal with the past two years?

"I still can't believe you ditched her at work alone so we could have this 'meeting'. There's no one to watch over her when she's over there!" Ashton threw his hands up in frustration. I've gotten used to how the boys treated her lately. I had to admit that before, there was always a little pang of jealousy that grew in my stomach whenever she'd give them a hug or a kiss on the cheek, but now I learned that they treat her like their younger sister and I am grateful for that.

Michael just shrugged his shoulders, then turned to me. "We're all dudes, man. How would we know? Just- just ask her, or something?"

"I can't! That would just ruin the whole surprise." I exclaimed. "She likes drawing, maybe I should just get her some paint and a sketchbook. That sounds like a good Christmas present, right?"

"Nah, save it for her birthday. It sounds too simple," Calum chimed, and I groaned once more, knowing that this shouldn't be as hard as it's supposed to be.

Michael was deep in thought, staring at the coffee table with his brows furrowed. Then, he snapped his fingers. "I got it. We went to the mall last week and she kept talking about this gold, elephant necklace she saw at Mark and Spencer's. Couldn't stop looking at it whenever we passed by. I was going to get it, but since you're her boyfriend and all, maybe you should get her that?"

I thought about it. Yeah, it sounded like a good idea, though I know that October isn't one to put up with someone who spends money on her, but this was worth it. She was worth it.

"Alright. Thanks, Mike," I nodded, clapping both my hands together. "How much is it?"

"About two-hundred and fifty dollars, I think?" Michael shrugged then ran a hand through his hair in attempt to fix it. "Something about a Christmas sale, so you got lucky Hemmings."

"Cal and I could get it for you, man. Give us the money and we'll go buy it. For your sake." Ashton added, and I smiled at him, giving him a thankful look.

"Thanks man, I'll give it to you now. Might as well buy it early, right?" I stood up and jogged to my room, fishing out seven hundred and fifty dollars out of my piggy bank - just in case. I walk back to the living room to find Michael getting up to put on his jacket.
