October.

I shut my apartment door with my foot, throwing my bag on the couch as Michael timidly followed behind me, bouncing on his legs to rid himself of the cold weather.

"Luke will be here soon, he's just spending some guy time with Calum and Ash," I smiled at him, walking into the kitchen to look for a snack that we could both eat while waiting.

Michael was still acting a bit suspicious, ever since we arrived home from Canada, yesterday. He seemed a bit more distant; I still hadn't told him what had happened in the past twenty-four hours (though now that I think about it, it would've been kind of weird to share it with him like he were a girl and not a boy), and I was starting to question whether or not this involved our talk. We seemed to be fine in the airport, what about now?

"Alright," he spoke softly, grabbing the remote from the coffee table and switching on the television. I leaned against the edge of the counter, crossing my arms as I watched him.

"Michael."

No reply.

"Michael."

"Oh, yeah?" He replied, pretending he hadn't heard me and turned around, attempting to look me in the eye, but seemed like he just looked past me.

"What's wrong?" I question, slowly making my way towards Michael as I sit in the spot close to him. I could practically see him trying not to squirm.

Something was up. And I was going to find out exactly what.

He didn't say anything for a while as I waited for a response, when he shifted hesitantly in his spot, knees pointing towards me as he brought his legs up. "I just- I just have something simple to ask you. Is that alright?" He looked up at me from his lashes patiently as he fiddled with the fabric of his jeans.

I tilt my head, flashing him a puzzled look, as my harsh glare softened. "You can tell me anything. I'm all ears, then."

"Where do you plan on being next month?"

I furrow my eyebrows, a little confused by his random question. "Um, I don't know? Why're you asking?"

"Because I- I just want to know what we are going to be doing, you know? Planning for the future."

"It's only a month, I honestly don't know. What could possibly be so important that is to happen? Why're you acting so weird?" I chuckle awkwardly, though I was one hundred percent serious.

He clicked his tongue and nodded, bringing his legs down and turning to watch the show on TV. But I wasn't done with the conversation, yet.

"Michael, what do you mean?"

Again, no reply. So I hit him on the shoulder.

"Ow! What was that-"

"What do you mean where will I be next month? Are you expecting me to be somewhere?" I was starting to get impatient; Michael and I never kept anything from each other, and now, he was acting a big immature. What was this, seventh grade?

"Kind of, yeah," he muttered, and I was about to question him again, when the door flew open, revealing none other than my boyfriend himself, and his two jumpy friends behind him. Ashton gasped as soon as his eyes landed upon me.

"Tobe!" he sang cheerily, bumping past Calum and Luke as I stood up happily from the couch, as he brought his arms around me and hugged me tightly.

"Missed you."

"I was gone for three days."

"Still missed you," he shrugged, pulling away when I felt a tug on my elbow. Luke stood next to me, as he bit his lip, then averted his attention to Ashton.
