My eyes squinted from the bright sunlight once they fluttered open. Everything still seemed a little fuzzy as my mind traced back to the events that had occurred before passing out. "You're awake." My head snapped over to the right and was met with a pair of heterochromia eyes. Todoroki was currently helping me out of the building along with someone else, but I didn't feel like tearing my eyes away from his to see who is was just yet. His gaze was truly mesmerizing.
"About fucking time, now pick up your damn feet." My hazy gaze was quick to form into a glare. To my left was non other than the hot head himself, my arm draped over his shoulders as well. "Back off! I don't need your help!" I yelled at the blonde while retracting my arm. However once I had my legs began to wobble, they were still weak from my lack of energy. "Pathetic." Bakugou kept his usual glare displayed as he returned my arm around him. As much as I disliked him it was still a generous act for him to pull. "How long was I out?"
"About twenty minutes." Todoroki looked ahead as he spoke. That was a whole fifteen minutes more compared to the last time I had lost energy; there has to be a way to conserve more without quickly using it all. Gazing down at the ground the sudden thought of my brother had popped into mind. Before I had passed out I had managed to blast him pretty good, but whether he was captured or not was still unknown. I suppose there's only one way to find out.
"That guy I was fighting..what happened to him?" Bakugou gave a questioning glare while Todoroki answered. "He escaped with the leader through the warp gate. Why do you ask?"
"Was just curious.." So he had gotten away even after I put my all into it. How depressing, I failed yet again. With frustration beginning to build up inside of me, I forced my legs to stand in place. "I'm fine now..thanks you two." Without bothering to look at their expressions I pulled my arms away and slowly began to walk towards the group standing in front of the building, an arm wrapped around my side as I did.
After facing him today I only just now realized how far I am from my goal. If I'm going to defeat them, I need to become stronger.

"Here let me grab a pillow for you, do you want me to get you an ice pack? Or maybe some medicine for the pain?"
"Auntie I'm fine! It's just some bruising nothing serious." I couldn't help but laugh slightly at her persistent worrying. "Of course it's serious!" She plopped herself down beside me on the couch and gently held my shoulder. "After everything that had happened yesterday..I.." Tears began to well up in her eyes. I knew ever since she heard what happened on the news and from me that she's been trying to put on a brave face. But right now, the bottled up fear she had for my life has begun to spill.
"Auntie, as scary as it is you know it was going to happen whether I went to U.A. or not." Her head slowly nodded as a tear slipped down her cheek. It was heartbreaking to see her like this. "Was she there?" Her voice had become stern as she spoke.
"..No."
She wiped the tears from her face and stood up, forcing a fake 'everything is okay' smile onto her face. "I see, well. How about I make us lunch?" And just like that she went back to her ordinary self, even though it was forced. Unlike her though I refused to let fear consume me, that was how I lived in my old life and I refuse to let it get to me again.
I was taken out of my brooding thoughts when I saw my aunt walk by with her bag and a piece of paper. "I'm running to the store to get some ingredients, is there anything you need while i'm there?"
"Actually, can I go get them instead? I've been dying to get some fresh air."
"Oh, are you sure sweetheart?"
"Positive." I gave her a smile and took the small list from her hand. Walking over to the door I slid on my flats and made my way outside.

"Ah ha, there you are." I grinned up at the spice that was hidden on the top shelf and began to reach for it. However a soreness on my ribcage had caused my reach to halt. 'Damn bruises.' My eyes stared up at the spice while I tried to figure out a way to retrieve it, that's when an arm came into view.
"Is this what you were trying to get?" My eyes lit up once the person had spoke. Todoroki glanced over slightly as his arm stretched upward to retrieve the spice. He looked so cute in his casual attire, I on the other hand not so much. I shyly tugged on the loose sweater, wiping away a few visible crumbs attached to it as he approached. I look like complete trash and he of all people had come across me like this!
Clearing my throat, I turned and gave him a smile as he handed me the spice. "Todoroki! What brings you here?" I gave an awkward laugh as he grabbed an item off of the shelf. "Same thing you are. How are you feeling?"
"I'm fine, just a tad sore is all."
"I can imagine." His eyes remained on the shelves as awkward silence began to grow between us. I wanted to continue the conversation but I couldn't think of anything to say, so I thanked him for helping me and began to push my cart onwards.
"(L/n)."
Todoroki had called out to me, causing me to stop mid step. When I turned to look at him he had already begun to walk up beside me. "That villain..you know him don't you?" Oh no. Panic begun to rise within me as I tried to play off my surprised expression. "W-what? Why would I know him?"
"The expression you had in your eyes, and the way you fought him. It was as if you wanted revenge." Was he really paying that much attention to me? How flattering, wait no, now isn't the time to be blushing over that! My hand tightly tugged at the hem of my sleeve as I looked away from his gaze. What was I suppose to say? I can't tell him that was my brother, he'll look at me differently for sure if I did.
"Was he your secret lover or something?"
"WHAT?! EW NO!"
My yell earned a few startled stares from a couple strangers. Embarrassment began to wash over my face as I glanced back over to Todoroki. He seemed rather surprised by my sudden outburst but soon went back to his usual expression. "Sorry, I just assumed that was the case. I'm glad it wasn't though."
He's glad? What is that suppose to mean? Blushing faintly I watched as he picked up the basket that contained his items. "I'll leave you to continue your shopping, see you tomorrow."
"Y-yeah, see ya." I gave a small awkward wave as I watched him walk out of the aisle. My cheeks continued to burn as my mind wondered back to our conversation. I really need to stop blushing over that, he was probably just relieved I wasn't involved with a villain. But still, something about his comment made my heart flutter.
"Ah what am I doing? I need to get back home." Shaking my head out of my daze I grabbed onto my cart and began to head over to the checkout.
