"MATCH TWO OF THE SEMIFINALS! BAKUGOU VERSUS (L/N)!"
The stare down was intense when we both stepped out onto the arena. My nerves that I once had were no more, the only thing on my mind was victory. I'm going to show them what I'm made of. The crowds wild cheering had began to settle down, allowing me to focus on the energy the sun was protruding onto my body. Bakugou didn't dare speak a single word to me as he calmly stood there, a hand in his pocket. I wonder what he was thinking?
The wait almost felt like an eternity as we waited for the signal to start. Everyone was silent now, the only thing audible was the heavy beating of my heart.
"START!"
Just when I had ignited my energy, Bakugou had quickly launched himself in my direction. He was fast, I was barely able to dodge the explosion he had let off. Lifting my hand I released a blast in his direction, however he was quick to dodge it as well.
"EXPLOSIONS VS ENERGY BLASTS! WHAT A TRICKY MATCH!"
Gritting my teeth I launched myself up into the air and just as I had expected, Bakugou followed in tow. As he blasted himself up after me I used the opportunity to shoot a blast down at him, Hitting him square in the chest and harshly sending him back down.
Dropping myself back onto the ground I made a dash towards him with a glowing fist, this was it, one solid hit will send him out of bounds. Right when I was about to lay a hit on him, Bakugou had quickly blasted me back with his explosion. I couldn't help but grimace in pain when my body had harshly tumbled down onto the ground. He had hit me so quickly that I didn't have enough time to dodge it.
"Your weak blasts aren't enough to stop me (L/n)!"."
Bakugou gave a wicked grin as he rushed towards me. With my body still being winded from the hit, I was unable to muster up my energy. This allowed Bakugou to strike me again. A groan had left my lips as I went flying back once again. He just kept on coming, I can't concentrate at this rate. My confidence quickly began to crumble as I tried to prepare myself for another one of Bakugou's explosions. This time he had gotten me in my stomach, sending me down onto my hands and knees.
"Get up." He stood hovering above me and watched as I coughed viciously from the hard blow.
"Get up damn it!"
My body tensed slightly as his words rang throughout my head.
"Get up."
I couldn't hold back the pained yelp when Akuma had harshly yanked me up by my hair. She was mad, very mad. Her sharp ruby eyes glared into mine before harshly tossing me aside once again.
"You're weak, just like mother."
Tears were beginning to stream down my cheeks. "W-why are you doing this Akuma?" Her lips twitched slightly when I looked up at her.
"Because," she slowly lowered herself in front of me and gently cupped the side of my cheek. "You're a disgrace to this family, and I want you to know that. You're never going to be anything other than father's puppet."
The memory of my sister's harsh words had flashed in my mind, but why? Why now? Anger had began to take control of me, making me slowly rise back to my feet. She was wrong, I'm not father's puppet anymore. I was going to become a hero!
