Chapter Twenty-Seven| Snatched

"There's so much you don't know about me, the things I've kept hidden from you all."

My voice was so soft, almost a whisper when I felt his hand gently squeeze mine.

"You can tell us (Y/n), whatever it is, I won't judge you." That alone was enough to make my heart throb. Oh how badly I want it to be true, but even if he didn't judge me, I'm sure others will.

"I can't tell you everything, not right now anyway--" I had shifted my gaze towards everyone else, somehow locking onto Katsuki when I did.

"Yes, I knew I was being targeted. I knew it before we even got here."

"What?!" Katsuki was the first to react, then followed Todoroki and the others.

"Why?" Todoroki's grip had tightened slightly before loosening when I pulled away.

"There's no time to explain the why's at the very moment, we need to find a way to get back to camp before more villains show up."

"(Y/n)'s right," Midoriya had spoken up, pulling all of our attention his way. "Camp seems to be the safest spot to go to since Mr. Aizawa and Vlad King are there. But at the clearing, the Pussycats are still fighting, so we need to cut straight across."

"We don't know how many villains there are, we might come across one suddenly." I had stepped forward when I voiced a concern, but Midoriya was quick to resolve it.

"We can use Shoji's search ability, and we have Todoroki's freezing, and if Tokoyami's okay with it, an invincible Dark Shadow with built-in controls."

Well, when he puts it that way..

"You two, stay in the middle." Todoroki had glanced between Katsuki and I before walking ahead with Shoji and Midoriya.

"Don't protect me you scum! (Y/n)'s the one we should be keeping a close eye on!"

"Excuse me? Last I checked we both were being targeted, so get your grouchy ass in the middle!" My hand had reached out to grab a hold of his shirt, forcing him to be dragged alongside me as we all began our march through the woods.

I didn't like it, but now that Katsuki is being targeted as well, my whole plan has changed. I'm not going to leave their side until I know they're safe.

Minutes felt like hours as we trudged through the dark woodsy landscape.

We were quiet for the most part, mostly due to the fact that we were on edge for any incoming villains. Well, most of us were, Katsuki on the other hand just kept glancing over at me every five freaking seconds as if scared to see me vanish.

It wasn't until he had done it for the tenth time that I had snapped my head in his direction, irritation revealing itself across my face.

"Do you have a twitch in your freaking neck?"

"The hell are you talking about?"

"Your neck, Katsuki! You're freaking me out with the constant glancing!"

Todoroki had glanced back at us when I rose my voice, quickly causing me to exhale loudly through my nostrils to rid the building irritation.
