Chapter Twenty-Nine| The Grand Rescue (1/2)

"Let's save them this time."

Everyone in the hospital room was surprised by Kirishima's wild suggestion. Well, everyone except Todoroki.

It had been two days since you and Bakugou had been kidnapped, and over those two days Todoroki hadn't heard anything new about the situation. The heroes have yet to act on a plan, which was irritating.

Thoughts about you were constantly in mind, so much that it was hard to concentrate on daily tasks. Not that it mattered much, school was temporarily closed so it wasn't like he needed to focus on his studies. Sleeping however, was a tremendous struggle.

The constant replay of you being dragged off made the nights go slow. He was so close to you, yet he was useless.

He failed to save you.

That was the main thing that stayed in his mind.

"Actually, Todoroki and I were here yesterday. On our way to your room we saw All Might and a police officer talking to Yaoyorozu. She told them that she put a tracking device on the Nomu she encountered."

"Does this mean you're going to have Yaoyorozu make another receiver?" Iida was quick to question Kirishima, who gently put his head down when Todoroki spoke up.

"What if it does?"

"It is as All Might said! We should leave this to the pros! This isn't a place for us to act, you idiots!" Iida's shout had made everyone else in the room jump in surprise. This was something he most defiantly wasn't getting on board with.

"We know that!" It was Kirishima's turn to shout. "But, I couldn't do anything! After I heard that my friends were being targeted, I couldn't do anything! If I don't do anything now, I won't be a hero or a man anymore!" With a twist of his head, he reached an arm out towards Midoriya.

"Midoriya, your hand can still reach! We can go save them!" The poor boy was already beginning to sweat nervously when he glanced up.

"So in short, you're planning on getting the receiver from Yoa-momo, following it, and going to save Bakugou and (Y/n) yourselves?"

"Yeah." Kirishima gave a nod at Mina.

"The villains said we were targets to be killed, but they took (Y/n) and Bakugou without killing them. They'll probably let them live, but that doesn't mean they won't eventually kill them." That last part had tightened Todoroki's chest. He didn't want to believe that was going to be the case, but it was a possibility.

"Kirishima and I are going."

"Lets try this again shall we? Aspiring hero Katsuki Bakugou, will you join me?"

The metallic taste was too overwhelming when blood dripped down from your lip. Shigaraki had demanded one of his men to shut you up after giving a snarky remark to his first attempt at the question. It was painful, but instead of crying like a hurt child you simply just glared ahead.

Katsuki was leaning forward, teeth gritted and hands clenching.

"If you're gonna talk in your sleep, why don't you go to sleep and die?"
