"Mwuah! There, you should be all set."
"Thank you, Recovery Girl." I couldn't seem to pull my gaze away from the unconscious Katsuki when Recovery Girl released my arm. Midoriya laid on the bed beside him resting with a pained expression, he must have done some serious damage to his back for it to still be hurting.
"All Might, you really don't know how to hold back, do you? If you would've hit any harder, you would've done permanent damage!" She was waving her needle like cane in front of the hero's face all while lecturing him.
Katsuki's chest was slowly rising and falling with each breath he took. It was hard seeing him so out of it, if I didn't get to him when I did, who knows what other damage he would have endured.
"Um, excuse me," I had stolen a quick glance at the elderly woman before returning my gaze on his steady breathing. "Do you think you know when he'll wake?"
"He probably won't wake up for awhile, but for now, you should rest here with them." She had left the room with that, leaving All Might and I alone with the resting duo. It was silent for quite some time when I had spotted All Might looking my way from the corner of my eye.
"You've gotten stronger since the Sports Festival, I was surprised you were able to build up enough strength for a final blow. I was confident that I had made you use it all up."
"Yeah well, I had to do everything in my power to help save my teammate. Even if it meant doing this." I had finally looked up at him when I lifted my badly bruised fist and forearm. Recovery Girl had informed me that from the severity of the redness, it would bloom into a nasty purple within the next couple of days. She wasn't able to do much to treat it other than heal the deep cuts on my knuckles and offer an ice pack.
Smiling slightly, I drifted my gaze back over to Katsuki, and from what I could tell, the hero did the same.
"From what you've shown today, you two are strong together. And I know that you guys will become much stronger in time."
When I had shot a look back at him, he was already taking his leave.
He thinks we're a strong duo?
Well, I suppose we are. I mean, he makes explosions and I make solar blasts. A perfect recipe for chaos.
As I laid back against the bed, I couldn't help but gaze back over at Katsuki for what had to be the billionth time. So much had happened between us in a span of a few hours, so much that I wasn't sure how to feel.
I wanted to forget everything that had happened, but deep down, it still hurt. I just couldn't seem to get passed our fight even though it was my fault. If I can just be the bigger person and apologize on my part, then maybe he'll do the same.
Then, hopefully, we'll go back to how things were.
"(L/n)..."
A sudden soft voice had spoken up by the doorway, causing me to whip my head in that direction. Todoroki's gaze had fallen down to my beat up limb before locking eyes with mine.
"Todoroki." Quietly, he had shut the door and began to walk over towards me. I was quick to sit up again, though, I couldn't help but wince when my abdomen clenched itself thanks to the hit I had received earlier.
