"Hey Leo!"
Charles hadn't been able to stop talking for the whole day. Last night was perfect. An entire night by of just him, a peanut butter sandwich, and Kurt. He seemed to be a little nervous, colder during the night. Maybe he was just tired, he looked like he hadn't slept in a year.
"What?", Leo asked with a yawn.
"You'll never guess who I saw last night."
"The goddess, Marina, herself?", he asked sarcastically.
"Nope!", Charles beamed, oblivious to Leo's tone, "Kurt."
"That's nice of him to visit..."
"I know! We had a great time. He brought sandwiches, and-"
"You didn't let me finish. It's nice of him to visit, but could you tell him to visit some other time? You need to rest your head, Charles.", Leo acknowledged.
Charles' face gloomed, "It won't do any harm to go out once a night. I'll just sleep all day like a bat."
Leo raised an eyebrow, "What's a bat?"
"It's an animal on land that sleeps all day and flies at night. It curls up like this.", Charles took his blanket and wrapped it around himself.
"Sounds comfy."
"It is.", Charles replied, "At least, I'd think it is. Hey, who do you think Tyler is?""I don't know, and I honestly don't care.", Leo said.
Charles curled up in his hammock. "Why don't you like the human world?", he asked.
"It's an entire world of strangers. Doesn't that, y' know, scare you?"
He pondered the question for a bit. "Not really. I think it's fun to explore.", Charles answered."Well, points to you for bravery.", Leo remarked with a smile, "Now go get some sleep."

Staying home wasn't so bad. A cycle of sleeping, eating, and occasional workout session was enough to keep Charles busy. He woke up from another countless nap and looked out of the window, 'An entire world of strangers '.
That's a weird way to think about it. Weird, but accurate. There were more humans than Kurt and his family, he knew that, but never let it sink in.
'Well, I'll use him as my guide.', Charles thought.
No, "use" sounded cruel. Having him sounded better.
'Having Kurt...'
Something stirred in Charles' stomach. He decided to do something else to pass the time.
(Hey, Sorry this chapter is crap. I was out all day.)
