Haley

It was the day after Haley was informed that she would be moving back to Canada. Her parents lived in Minnesota up until Haley graduated high school so they moved to Toronto, Ontario.

Her father had been the only one working in her family. Her mother was a stay at home mom. Never has Haley thought her dad would lose his job. He was good at his job as a neurosurgeon and was able to support their family.

Haley knocked on Alex and Dom's door, prepared to reveal the news. She forced herself not to get emotional.

"Hey Haley," Alex greeted and gave her a kiss on the top of her head.

"Hey," Haley said not so enthusiastically.

"Is something wrong?"

"Yeah can we talk alone for a second."

"Dom's sleeping. Talk to me."

Haley exhaled before shutting the door and bringing Alex to the living room. They were holding hands and this made Haley more heartbroken to have to tell Alex this.

"Okay so my dad recently lost his job," Haley explained.

"I'm so sorry."

"There's more," Haley said. "Since he lost his job, he can't afford to pay for my tuition anymore. I'm going to have to move back to Canada."

Alex took a moment to process this.

"So you're leaving?" Alex asked.

"Yes," Haley verified, "And you know how it is with long distance relationships. I'm sorry Alex but I'm breaking up with you."

Haley could see the tears building up in Alex's eyes which made Haley cry. She didn't want to do this but she did what was best and what was wisest.

"What the hell is going on here?" Dom entered the room.

"I'm moving back to Canada," Haley said.

"For vacation?" Dom asked.

"No, like permanently."

This seemed to have an affect on Dom as well because he looked sad. They had grown so close in the time that Haley was here and it broke her heart that she had to end her relationship with everyone so fast.

Dom went to go hug Haley. Dom tried to lighten the mood.

"So should we go have a goodbye threesome?" Dom asked.

Haley and Alex laughed through dried tears.

The dreaded day has come. David drove Haley to the airport accompanied by Liza, Corinna and of course Alex.

Haley exited the car and went to retrieve her luggage from the trunk. Alex took them out of the trunk and handed one to Haley, he held onto the other two.

The four of them looked at her in sympathy, none of them wanted to see Haley leave.

"We're gonna miss you," Liza spoke up and gave her a hug. Her eyes were red from not being able to hold back her tears.

She then proceeded to hug everyone else, leaving Alex for last.

When she got to Alex, he engulfed her small figure in a big hug. Haley could tell he was close to crying. She'd never actually seen him cry.

"I love you, Haley," Alex said.

This surprised Haley. There had been times Haley wanted to say this to Alex but never had the guts to do it.

"I love you, too."

They departed and Haley felt herself longing to touch Alex again. She hadn't even left yet and she already missed him.

Haley was walking away and was tempted to look back but she knew she would break down if she did.
